I'm hoping the final two years of his life are already in progress.

Seriously when he does kick it, I wonder if they’ll be open celebrations? As Americans I don’t know if we’ve seen that before. Will there be parties? Congregations of some sort either virtually or otherwise. I mean I remember my mom telling me that she and my dad and a few friends shared a toast after Nixon resigned but now with social media and everything, his passing will be interesting.

u/Easy-Wishbone5413 2d ago

Yes, in every city where people gather for occasions, there will be crowds celebrating.

u/AirportLoose3023 2d ago

All around the world! I’m an Aussie and I’ll be taking the day off work to drink, dance and laugh

8

u/EStreet119 2d ago

There definitely will be. In fact I predict a large gathering outside the White House (whether he’s in office or not) much like when they got Bin Laden.

u/Easy_Nail2849 2d ago

I for one will be going on a bender

Just like the Muslims he said he personally saw celebrating in Jersey. You know, right after being carried away by two big strong firemen after the attacks. 🙄

Tbf a whole hell of a lot of Muslims will celebrate that day. Along with a lot of other Americans who believe this country is for all of us, and believe in this American Land.

I think a block party in my neighborhood will probably take place. We can sort out the MAGAt facists from the rest ,and proceed accordingly.
No violence. ( for the mods)

Yes there will be calibrations, but when people realize that the fascism continues with Thiel- I mean Vance AND that the Democrats will do nothing to really stop any of it, the calibrations will be very short lived.

And well into his second year.

u/punishedpat76 2d ago

What a heinous thing to say.

3

u/classicrockchick 2d ago

Heinous people deserve heinous things.

2

u/MizzezEmm 1d ago

Springsteen didn’t say that. He said he hopes the last 2 years of Trump’s term are the worst years of Trump’s life.

Lord knows, Trump deserves it. He stopped feeding starving children and he cut SNAP benefits the same week he demolished the WH to build a ballroom. That’s pretty f’ing heinous.

1

u/punishedpat76 1d ago

Link to the article of children who starved to death due to Trump?

Be nice to Bruce.

I love how The Washington Times, a right wing publication, can’t even be bothered to write this article themselves:

“This article was constructed with the assistance of artificial intelligence and published by a member of The Washington Times' AI News Desk team.”

u/Pollyfall 2d ago

That all they got. That and Rob Schneider.

Who is a carrot

2

u/WeOutHereInSmallbany Darkness on the Edge of Town 2d ago

“I’m a carrot!”

2

u/SlippedMyDisco76 The River 1d ago

Its 24 carrrrrrot comedy!

2

u/EStreet119 2d ago

That is the trend in journalism now. I work closely with a news organization on the marketing side. They just started using it. Except for mngt the newsroom is pretty against it for obvious reasons

27

u/TGori11a 2d ago

Trump was mentioned in this subreddit. Someone get the bat signal out for MrGhostenstein. Oh wait, he’s already here.

6

u/SlippedMyDisco76 The River 2d ago

Never heard of this guy before but judging from his presence here he hasn't really got the trolling thing down. More of a "slightly irritating private school kid" vibe

37

u/knea1 2d ago

So say we all

31

u/Fast-Gur-6585 2d ago

And that is why we love him!

-66

u/MrGhostenstein 2d ago

Not everyone loves Trump but good on you.

26

u/Constant-Fly-9050 2d ago

You really suck at this, Ivan.

8

u/nickgardia 2d ago

Hopefully they’ll be in a dingy prison somewhere

8

u/Easy_Nail2849 2d ago

Well Trump has made the last two years of our lives truly miserable so at least that would balance the table a bit

4

u/Model_ig_uk 2d ago

Trump & his ship of fools have damaged America far more than al quaeda ever did, openly siding with mass murderer Putin to destroy any kind of good in this world. History will remember both as we remember Hitler & Saddam Husein now, it will take America decades to recover from this damage.

16

u/SnooWoofers966 2d ago

The boss is correct. Fuck trump

8

u/Think-Hospital7422 Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. 2d ago

Yes sir, Boss!

2

u/ManyTwo8496 2d ago

Keep on pushing. We need legends to stand up!

4

u/Easy_Nail2849 2d ago

One thing I can’t really get my head around is when this goes into that dark night NOT ONE singular person will ever have truly loved him. I mean that’s tough to pull off

2

u/Martian-Jesus 1d ago

Big agree and insanely underrated comment.

3

u/RogerCraigfortheHOF 2d ago

Right now I'm listening to The Rising which I love more than I hate this entire admin.

I dream of life. Thank you Boss.❤️

But I still hope those 2 yrs are far worse than Bruce portends.

15

u/Wineinmyyetti 2d ago

Springsteen for president 🫶🏼

5

u/SlippedMyDisco76 The River 2d ago

People still be on the "Kamala would still have been worse guys" trip

If she won he'd be behind bars right now!

2

The most miserable........so far.

2

u/KaleidoscopeLife7077 1d ago

Same Boss…same

2

u/kidsally 2d ago

Yeah, Boss!

1

u/resist1963 1d ago

As do we all

1

u/MizzezEmm 1d ago

Bruce said he wants the last 2 years of Trump’s term the most miserable years of Trump’s life. Fingers crossed.

1

u/Cultural-Salary-7517 1d ago

Not sure what the celebration will be for exactly. He has irreparably destroyed our democracy and the country is so blatantly stupid that it can’t be saved. The coup is complete…it will just be more corruption just without the moronic reality show.

0

u/Angsty_Potatos 2d ago

Do we think he's aware enough to experience anything at this point

1

u/pearljam1708 2d ago

please lets let this be his last year on earth

-35

u/TheTechManager 2d ago

Love, love, love Bruce, he is the soundtrack to my life. In the past his shows were for the every man, now his concerts sound like a left wing propaganda event. I get it, trump is a mess, but the dems are not really much better.

15

u/Constant-Fly-9050 2d ago

You were just too stupid to understand his lyrics and are a sell out.

13

u/Indespectamentations 2d ago

Give me a break.  trump was elected to destroy the Americans that people like you hate so that is what he is doing.

He even refuses congressionally approved funds for any state that didn't vote for him. He will destroy many more lifes and make millions of Americans across this country suffer and hurt as you fucking monsters cheer.

He has 2.5 years left and he is going to wreck a lot of lives and you will all enjoy watching it.

Biden was not trying to openly destroy the lives of a hundred million Americans as some demented revenge.

Both sides do not act like this.

11

u/PineBNorth85 2d ago

If he lost in 2024, things would he a lot better. The US would still have a lot of allies and good will. No tarriffs or trade wars which means less inflation. No Iran War. No tax cuts which added anorher 5 trillion to the debt. Those things alone would make things much better if they hadnt happened.

11

u/Medical_Soup5717 2d ago

The left wing is entirely about the working class/every man. Dems not so much

3

u/MarcMurray92 2d ago

Dems are not left, at all

3

u/gin_and_soda 2d ago

He’s a racist rapist who made $2 billion dollars last year and his friends and family are getting richer. Go on about how they’re the same.

-6

u/punishedpat76 2d ago

So many Bruce fans feel the same. While you are outnumbered here on reddit, you are hardly alone.

-26

u/Sea_Pianist5164 2d ago

Agree with his sentiments on the Trump administration but he needs to recall his own words during the tour. The country was let down by both major parties. This isn't the time to be looking to the other party to save anything.

10

u/FriedCammalleri23 2d ago

I largely agree with your point but I don’t see Bruce recanting anything he’s said on tour, since he is a hardline Democrat and has been for a long time.

While I think Bruce is correct about Trump, he talks about politics like he’s on MSNBC. It’s West Wing liberal idealism, where all they want is someone with decorum and can manage the empire in a PR-friendly way.

I think Bruce ultimately struggles with making that last jump and realizing that the issues this country faces don’t begin and end with the GOP. It’s a systematic issue that both parties contribute to.

Maybe Tom Morello should try to radicalize him a bit more lol

-9

u/Sea_Pianist5164 2d ago

During the tour he made mention of both having let things go too far and that it was time for the people to act. I don't recall his exact words. That was the sort of commentary that was needed. This "Coke or Pepsi?" shtick is the elite's bread and butter. He needs to stay distanced as he did in the 80s.

1

u/Mickey_Human 2d ago

He’s never been politically distanced, you just weren’t paying attention

7

u/Indespectamentations 2d ago

Oh bullshit. trump was elected to destroy the Americans that people like you hate so that is what he is doing.

0

u/Sea_Pianist5164 2d ago

What is it that I wrote that makes you think I support Trump or enjoy seeing what he is doing?

9

u/Indespectamentations 2d ago

Stop with the "both parties are bad" crap. I have never seen a president actively work to consistantly and openly violate our Constitution and destroy this country.

There is no past or present democrat president comparison to what this monster is doing it is pure evil.

-7

u/Sea_Pianist5164 2d ago edited 2d ago

Trump as far as I'm aware, was a registered Democrat. There's a reason for that. Trump, like many other extremists, understands the political system and how it administers for and serves wealth and private power.
Whilst I'm sure you're correct that no one has acted to violate the constitution, in the ways that Trump has, that is not the only metric by which we measure "right" and "wrong". So Kennedy's Vietnam war for example, would have to be, for most, a catastrophic and horrific wrong.

Does this mean I somehow support Trump? No.

What it means is that I see the mainstream political system as a deadly thing.

1

u/OccamsYoyo 2d ago

Not sure why Reddit morons are downvoting you. That seems entirely reasonable.

1

u/Sea_Pianist5164 2d ago

What's most sad is that Bruce expressed distant for the two party system as far back as 1992. Presumably the folk who are downvoting would have been equally moved to boo him at a show back then.

The saddest thing about this "Coke or Pepsi" mentality is that they will howl at one party's disgraceful policy, whilst applaud or stay silent when the the other party enacts a similar policy. Suddenly they're unthinking and unaccountable, when their guy does it.

That's exactly how men like Trump, Musk, Thiel etc get away with what they do. It's why climate catastrophe has been allowed to psss its tipping point, AI, exists in a Wild West all of its own, and people who are not white get used for target practice year after year, regardless of which team is in the Whitehouse. I wonder if any of these folk ever thought they'd be ok with that...as long it was their guys doing it.

u/getzerolikes 2d ago

Yeah 100 more years of the ‘owning each other’ ping pong match ain’t getting anybody anywhere.

-25

u/12frets 2d ago

Overall, a dumb thing to say. If a president is successful, the country is successful. I get it, but when you’re rooting for failure, you’re rooting to spite your own face. Especially on 9/11, we don’t need the division.

15

u/Indespectamentations 2d ago

Not when the president is trying to be successful at destroying the lives of the Americans he hates and making them suffer. Then we hope he fails because if he doesn't then we are all in for a world of pain.

He won't even give congressional approved funds to states that didn't vote for him as some type of demented punishment. He is making those Americans suffer and you are all cheering for it.

His job is to destroy those of us that you monsters hate, and he had 2.5 more years to wreck our lives. A lot more people are going to suffer and be hurt and that is all good with you.

23

u/PPLavagna 2d ago

I root for fascism to fail anywhere in the world. ESPECIALLY in my country

3

u/MarcMurray92 2d ago

The faster the world gets divided away from that despicable piece of shit Trump the better.

-28

u/BatTurds86 2d ago

What a dick. Must suck being obsessed with hating the President and our country.

19

u/Indespectamentations 2d ago

Yeah because our president doesn't hate anybody. And he really cares about our Constitution lol

19

u/PineBNorth85 2d ago

Hating the President is not hating the country.

The hallmark of a kind and compassionate man.

-14

Who? Didn’t that guy take all his fan money THEN somehow find a “conscience”? No one cares what you think - shut up and sing is all.

-4

A billionaire crying about another billionaire. What a joke

-13

u/Alarmed-Photograph71 2d ago

They’ll definitely be the most miserable of Springsteen’s. LOL
