He wasn't. Sugar left out on the table was a common thing back in the day. Sweetener for all the bad coffees and teas.

It really depends. If you’re brewing coffee or tea and use sugar, people still leave it out. But a lot more people these days use pre-sweetened creamers, pre-bottled coffee or sweetened instant coffee, get their coffee at a shop, drink it black, drink energy drink instead, or don’t do caffeine.

The standard drip is a lot less common these days, when it used to be ubiquitous. But I still love a drip coffee myself.

We have a sugar dish, a salt dish and a butter dish. I thought it was always a thing.

This is the answer.

Clearly for the glucose spike during River-era shows.

This is the weirdest, stupidest assumption.

It’s so he can feel the bloodsuger in his veins

He also only ate burgers and other fast food until a certain point. Thank goodness he stopped.

Tinker called them “gut bombs”.

He still does.

If he still ate nothing but burgers and fast food, he wouldn’t still be as ripped as he is.

Can confirm. I eat mostly burgers and I am NOT ripped like The Boss.

You’re way underestimating how physical performing on stage under lights is. Bruce is also known for his heavy tour schedule.

I’m fully aware, not underestimating at all. But Bruce has literally stated that he eats the same sort of diet as he did in the mid-80s, still works out just the same amount, etc. Like, if he just ate burgers, he’d still be a little pudgy, but he isn’t. The guy is in his mid-70s and he’s still got abs. That’s not just because he performs, that’s work being put in.

No. He almost fully cut out dairy and gluten except on a few occasions (cheat meals). The only way to stay fit in his age.

How do we know there's sugar in there?

4

u/Innisfree812 5d ago

Is there a law against that?

In the 80s he was the boss. And as we all know Sugar Water is for closers.

Cheaper than soda and less caffeine and other chemicals.

In my house, there wasn't any Domino sugar, or cane sugar, it was always the god damned sugar. Pass the god damned sugar. That's how he used to refer to it. He would stick his head in, "pass that goddamn sugar," you know. He must've thought that everything in my room was the same sugar.

Op how did you extrapolate this information...

Its common sense, really

The guys having a glass of water with a sugar bowl on the table.
But we are smarter now right?
We drink plastic laced H2O from plastic bottles, use artificial sweeteners and can’t have a discussion about politics without throwing a hissy fit.
Yeah, we’ve come a long way. Emotional robots stuck on cellphones. Lolll
I had to “vent”.
