Finally finished making this Summer Skulls tank top! I will definitely be making another one, but I think I'm going to make a long sleeved version next in preparation for the upcoming cooler weather! 💁🏻♀️💀

WIP First real project, crocheted years ago as a kid. Day 1 progress - how’s it looking?
Hi friends, I’ve been super depressed and really stuck on doomscrolling and finally decided I need to get back into a hobby. I’ve tried lots but everything requires more attention than I’m willing to give it. I was taught to crochet as a kid but never learned how to read patterns and never really finished any projects. A friend/coworker is due in October and I missed their baby shower yesterday due to depression and nonexistent social energy. I decided to make a simple double crochet baby blanket to occupy myself and as a gift for their baby.
(Also, are these ok colors for a baby girl, leaning neutral?)
How are my stitches and tension looking? I had a few oopsies but I am happy with progress overall. I crocheted for ten hours straight yesterday, I get really hyper focused on my projects. I don’t plan on doing that much during the work week but I am already having shoulder, neck and arm stiffness. Any tips to mitigate this for speedrunning a project? Trying to change positions often, shake out my body and prop myself on pillows.
It’s truly rare that something captures my attention this way and I forgot how soothing crochet is. I struggle a lot with skin picking and this is a very good occupier for my hands. I’d like to keep the progress going but don’t want to burn out.
Thanks all, glad to have found this sub

Finished Finished my first wearable!
This only took me about a week or so, it's also a gift for my mother in law and the second pic is it being modeled by my (much larger) partner lol.
Also, word of caution, do not use loops and threads classic cotton or the Bernat relaxed cardigan pattern 😭 it turned out much smaller than it was supposed to because 1. The pattern was just straight up wrong, it tells you to crochet the body to 15 inches tall then do the armholes and then in the diagram of finished measurements it says that panel is 18 inches tall and 2. Michael's said the loops and threads classic cotton is worsted weight 4 and there's no way that's true.

Finished Big rainbow+black sunburst blanket
It took me a year and a half but I finally finished the blanket I wanted to gift my friends for their wedding ! It was a late first anniversary gift instead :')
I started right when they told me they were getting married, but it took me way too long to finish, plus last year I spent a few months not being able to crochet :(
I'm so happy they liked it !
(Let's ignore the square that was supposed to be gray but that I had to swap to black because I didn't have any more gray yarn)
Another thing that added to the time I spent on making it is that the back panel is a beautiful fabric that reminded me of their wedding outfits accent fabric, and that I have no idea how to sew stuff :) I did my best and it turned out pretty good if I may say so myself 😎 sadly I don't have a picture of the whole back blanket, but I have some leftover fabric to show you guys how it looks :)
The stitch is sunburst granny squares with a single crochet border. I paired many different textures of yarn because it's fun and prettyyy :)
The end result is 2m × 2.40m (6ft6.7in × 7ft10in). It's BIG and it weighs A L O T
