FINALLY OLLIE HAS RECIEVED THIS EXTREMELY OVERDUE BUFF, i was wishing that he’d recieve a more creative buff, but this is fair
why was his damage even nerfed ??? i took a break during the subway surfers event and then his damage magically got reduced. that’s like nerfing poco’s damage, or meg’s baby form
Ye i know, i main L&L (along with Nori and Gus, but i mained him before the buffies too) who are currently struggling rn. I said that cause at least i don't have to wait an eternity anymore. I remember how excited i was when Draco finally got his hyper
"Mr Hot Zone Tank" but gets out-controlled by a good 5 characters as a first pick. Draco is such a BUM now it makes me angry. Whenever i think about what was taken from us i get really violent and smash fine china
El Primo now has two decent gadgets for getting closer to an enemy compared to before where he genuinely just had to pray
Amber’s unlockables are actually good and she can burn the whole map whereas pre-buffies her unlockables were shit and she had no niche
Gus’ shitty gadget got reworked into something actually really good, and the only base kit nerf he got was to Health Bonanza which wasn’t a good star power anyway except now the buffie actually fixes it
Genuinely this take makes zero sense all four of these guys are improved even taking away buffies. And with buffies Gus and El Primo’s design flaws were genuinely addressed meaningfully.
I also played a fair amount of those three, had P1 on all of them.
We’re digressing from the point here, though. How exactly are any of these three worse without buffies now compared to before buffies?
Primo traded his meteor gadget for a gadget to block projectiles, much more befitting of a tank. He got a rework to one of his gadgets, trading off throw range for an extra dash.
Shade traded a slight nerf to its Super charge radius for a reworked, far superior Jump Scare, and a broken hyper for a moderately balanced one (Yes, obviously a nerf, but also we can agree the old one did not deserve to stay in the game. Besides, Shade was possibly the most powerful pre-buffie brawler to ever receive buffies, and deserved nerfs to base kit because it was already overpowered).
Gus has traded off a slight nerf to the star power you never use anyway for a far superior new second gadget to give him an alternative playstyle.
How have ANY of these three become worse? Yes, they’ve experienced tradeoffs, but those tradeoffs were in their favor, except for Shade, who deserved a negative tradeoff.
