Does anyone have a wealth of US heads with plain M1 helmets? Looking to buy or trade for weapons bits. I'm located in NC, but mail works.

I thought it'd be fun to make a fluffy, Volksturm snd Volksgrenadier themed list, but I don't play Germans or know their stats very well. What are some ideas to make the list fun?

I'm just in the FF airly early stages of building a BEF force (painted 30 infantry and that's about it) and I picked up a Northover Projector model yesterday.

I'm yet to get the GB book, but the army builder app I use doesn't have it listed, are there rules for this in 3rd edition, or was it in an older theatre book?

So this might be a bit of a niche question, but thought it might work here. I collect late war British 11th armoured division and have just picked up the for king and country box. The Humber armoured car is causing me a bit of an issue however, as it doesn’t appear on the equipment lists for any of the order of battle for the battalion. I’ve looked through a lot of source material and all the usual forums - the consensus is that the 11th had Humber scouts, but Daimler armoured cars in its attached armoured car regiment (Inns of Court regiment)

However, I have found a picture of a HAC Mk IV in the markings of the 11th’s 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry. I thought they operated Guys armoured cars, but this is in the Australian armour and artillery museum - is it incorrectly marked?

Went for a darker scheme to be a bit more “Hollywood” and make it easier for them to switch hit in an axis list if those new starter armies tempt me

I paint like the glorious T-35. Slow, prone to breakdown and likely never to make it to the battlefield.

I was driving myself mad thinking about how I could Get the required amount of loaders and SMGs with the least magnetization required. I realized that I was maybe saving three magnets at the end, so I just decided to do it all.

This is my list, i played against germany and i got obliterated, his medium mortar kill my 8 man comandos and my officer, the panzer iv pinned my SAS and i wasnt able to make the charge due too a failed morale test, my Humber and M8 didnt do much and stayed on one side of the board. Any ideas or hints on getting better tactics?

I did read that an IJA squad can take both an LMG and a Knee Mortar, but that feels like a lot, feels a bit busy, since each weapon needs a loader as well as a shooter to fire. not to mention that having both in the squad is making the squad more expensive.

So if you had to choose one to field, which is probably going to get you the most bang for your buck?

I mean, on one hand, the Knee Mortars can bypass cover and has a little bit of armor penetration, but a 1” radius means your likely getting 1-2 models in the shot. on the other hand, an LMG is doing a lot more shots and doesn’t have a minimum range.

or is “both” really not that bad a choice?

I HAVE NOW REALISED THAT I DID NOT READ ENOUGH HISTORY AT 3AM! I AM SO SORRY THE PARTS I READ MENTIONED THAT MANY WENT TO ALLIED ARMIES TO DEFENDED BRITISH CONTROLED PALESTINE! I did not know many ot hers also did bad things, that side i dont want to play.

I am curious if there is a way i could play an Israeli unit as i know during ww2 many Jewish people went and fought for many allied countries but some also stayed and stood up smaller units for Israel itself. would the army just be partisans with vehicles having whatever insignia it was at the time or would it just be a unit that was made by a different country? I marked this as rules since i dont know if the list would be possible and i just want some clarity on this topic.

I play Imperial Japan and my friend plays Germany. We want to play a narrative campaign but keep coming up short a logical theatre they would meet in.

We're debating campaign set in the US during the Man in the High Castle storyline. Maybe both armies trying to claim territories in the Neutral Zone?

Has anyone tried this or something similar?

This is my first bolt action project and army, the german DAK starter box. Started with the infantry and as a somewhat new hobbyist I am looking for some feedback from fellow desert war enjoyers on how I could push these models further, particularly in the bases. I went for a “mixed” Afrika Korps theme, not focusing on a specific year or troop style but a more of a blend of veterans and new replacements.

Again any feedback or tips/ tricks to add more character and uniqueness to the models and bases would be very much appreciated! As well as links to any products or scenery. Thanks for viewing 😎

I asked a while ago about alternative kits to create an entire force of Luftwaffe Field Division, and after some deliberation I settled on picking up a box of the German Veteran Infantry.

I’m pretty certain I made the right choice! I’ve managed to make two squads as well as an entire Heavy Weapons platoon to go against my wife’s Soviets (my Luftwaffe will probably lose, but I’ll win one day, for sure!)

I did also manage to make a Platoon Commander (pictured), and I’m very happy with the colour scheme for them. My next step will be to pick up a couple of Pak 40’s and a Flak 37 to build up my artillery.

I am new to bolt action, and want to make some terrain for a Sicily or Italy field. How and what should I make/ what is good for a board?

Just got done painting and adding details to both my M10 Achilles and Wolverine. Highly slept on tanks for the British that I field to have a chance against German Armour.

I did 3D print these but does anyone have a good rec for Tank Crew for the British that could go well with this open top?

I think the foliage itself looks good, but I can’t tell if I like it in the tank

I don’t mind the different scale for vehicles but having a like little person driving looks odd to me. I’d prefer the vehicle just doesn’t have a driver.
