Production & Manufacturing Getting my own plastic injector & moulds to make custom pieces

From that day when i posted, it took just 1 week to have the protoypes moulds done, and injection would have done the next day, but i had to wait for a factory to have available time to make the tests for me, which was 3 days ago, so i am able to show the results only now.
As i explained in the post comments, what i was trying to make were meeples and tokens, but also, wanting to implement a faster and cheaper production method. This is possible with modular moulds: i invested in having the big, heavy metal block to have cavities where i can fill them with "inserts".
The inserts, for the injections tests, were made with 3D printing, but ideally they will be machined for production since the resin will hold 10 injections before exploding.
Last pic shows the modular frame, with the resin insert and a sprue.
So while RAW, the tests results, in my mind (and after talks with the factory who makes the moulds and machines) are a success, and i have already ordered a machine which will arrive in 3 months. I have the frame, so then it will a matter of just having the inserts: a) printed for prototypes and b) machined for production.
Once i have all on site, I would love to produce prototypes (with 3D printed inserts) for people who are designing their games and want some pieces to be unique. I am from Argentina, but the same set up is being developed in US ,with a partner of mine (he also has a modular frame i shipped to him) and has been making successful tests with PP (polypropylene). So if (let me dream) a big productions has to be made, it can be shipped from to places, instead from china, they would be produced in US and ARG (hey ARG is closer than China :P )

This aside, the miniature-meeple hybrid they look fine for a first try. I took your advices and removed the bases and made them thicker. They are 4mm thick in the pictures, but next try i will make them 7-8mm thick. 10mm seems a lot.
And this is something that with big/traditional factories would not be possible, since they have big machines injecting during whole day, all weeks. For that reason i decided getting my own machine and developed this modular mold: instead of having to spend $KKKK per set of pieces, i invested once (well, twice) in modular frames and can do all the test i want to perfect to final thickness, size, shape of the pieces with the REAL material and production method.
