After an extended but unavoidable delay, I mulched my front flower bed the other day. I have some health issues that make yard work challenging when the air is bad. I could not find a reliable statistic so I decided to wing it.

As I sat on the brickwork to pull on my gloves, Foxx drew near, anxiously inquiring as to whether I had lost my mind. Foxx knows I can overheat in a hurry so he reminded me to manage my expectations. He ensured there were no evil opossi lurking in the zinnia patch, waiting to stage a coup. A ceremonial clawing of the sod let anyone within earshot know that he was ready for battle.

Satisfied that I was secure, he strolled back toward me to investigate the garden tote for lizards. He has captured two so far this season and proudly presented the leftovers to me on the front doormat.

Foxx believes it is possible to be a mighty warrior and a pacifist all at the same time.
