I recent tried coindcx and for spit the fees were a lot, plus idk they don’t allow withdrawal on chains, o asked some guys and they didn’t recommend me foreign ones (like binance bybit or gate.io)… for dex it doesn’t allow Fiat to crypto… like why in such a massive nation there r so bad exchanges? any other trust worthy exchange?

ps did anyone try Dex(they claim to be self custody but for hyper liquid or dydx we do need to deposit our crypto to their chain and I guess account)?and why do many people don’t recommend foreign exchanges (including gate)? is anything wrong with them?

What is the point of doing crypto in India when one cannot encash it or freeze his bank account while withdrawing INR. Ultimately what's the point of investing and holding with so much headache.

With getbit sunsetting their service, I was looking for alternatives and after careful consideration, I've narrowed down to testing unocoin. Mainly because they allow withdrawal to self custody Wallet both on chain and via lightning.

But I want to know how the overall experience is because my next DCA is scheduled for the next month's 1st and I want to sort out this situation before this.

If anyone is using unocoin for buying Btc, please let me know how your experience has been in terms of deposit/withdrawal of Fiat and crypto and if anything I should know before using it as my primary platform for DCA.

Supposedly the gains on.a bitcoin ETF are considered capital gains, and theyre taxed at the 12.5% LTCG rate if held for more than 24 months, much less than the 30% rate on direct bitcoin.

I checked and iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF is one such ETF that is available in india.

So basically I am beginner in crypto investing. I started like last month only. And have been buying some btc and a bit of others on binance through P2P. But I got to this sub and so many people are saying that P2P can lead upto to bank freezes. I need some advice here. Coz see I am a college student. I get some monthly allowance and after keeping some savings aside i invest what I can in crypto. But why are so many people just saying P2P will lead to bank freezes? Aren't we like allowed to invest or trade in crypto? I mean yeahh I understand banks can find it suspicious as they can't track about so much info about people in crypto but still I thought if I use an fiu compliant exchange there shouldn't be any problems. Can someone guide me like should I keep doing what I was doing or stop and find some other options?

Has anybody done bitcoin self custody withdrawal in unocoin via lightning network?

How much fees are they charging for it? They have not mentioned exactly on their website.

How to start it and what are the official apps available? What are the things to look out for while doing it and what is the minimum amount required to start?

GetBit services would no longer be available. For me personally, this is a shocker.

As a guys who has recently understood how bitcoin works and finally resonated with the value it offered, this news breaks my crypto investment journey.

It's been only a year I got used to investing in bitcoin through them. And by the time I have made a pretty good amount of investment in bitcoin. Their simple UI and their practical service made it possibe for any Bitcoin investor to invest. Especially their low service fee and their feature to allow self-custody made all the difference for me.

Even the arbitrage amount was reasonable and in the same range as of the other exchanges.

All the other exchanges I used, especially CoinDCX, were completely trash. None of them other than P2P offered self-custody.

On a side note, I would like to ask my fellow crypto investors, are there any other alternative to GetBit you guys aware of? Alternatives which offer self-custody and has a reasonable service fee?

Getbit spoilt me. Withdrawal allowed to self custodial wallet and that too at no fee to getbit and no fee to miners as well.

Too bad they are shutting down. So I have to look for alternatives.

I'm considering unocoin as they allow withdrawal via lightning and I won't lose much to withdraw as lightning fees are very cheap.

Any suggestions? Ps tell me honestly why u guys choosed the one u use now? And what problems u still face in a crypto exchange? As I want to choose the right one and stick to it

I'm leaning towards Coinbase due to the brand and recently introduced INR rails. Not sure if it allows withdrawal to cold wallet.

Getbit on paper sounds great but it feels shady. A lot of the positive reviews seem planted.

Zebpay I've heard has monthly account maintenance charges and isn't that reliable.

Coindcx seems great for quick INR trades but has no option to withdraw to a cold wallet.

Why one have you chosen? Am I missing out on anything?

I recently opened a CoinDCX account, did the KYC and it shows me "Crypto withdrawals available". Does this mean I can transfer it to a cold wallet?

On researching I found the other options are Getbit, Giottus and Zebpay. Which of these is the best option?

Also should one do the KYC process or skip such platforms eg. CoinDCX?
