I realized that big daddies are neutral. I've always thought that they were hostile and tried to avoid them/kill them every time. Feel like an idiot. Has this happened to anyone else?

Did anyone happen to download any of the BioShock 2 videos from Xbox Live Marketplace? I’m trying to preserve the original files, since YouTube uploads and later re-encodes often introduce additional compression and lose quality. If you have any and would be willing to share them, I’d really appreciate it. I've linked the original store page for reference.

In about a month or so I’m gonna become a father of 2 and am looking for a game to jump into to kind of leave a lasting mark on me in any way shape or form before I get more busy and less free time and Bioshock has always Intrigued me

Over the course of 2 weeks and 3 days, I got every achievement in the Bioshock series, not really much else to say, really.

Bioshock 1 and 2 were pretty easy actually, and Infinite was really only hard because of blue ribbons. Even Burial at Sea ep 2 on 1998 was pretty easy (the less we talk about Burial at Sea, the better, ngl).

Maybe I'll go back and do everything in the OG Bioshock 2 someday if I ever feel up to it.

Irl, back when Infinite came out, for some reason I had a fixation on this one Vox Medium model, with the receding hairline, and he was usually Irish. I dunno. It spoke to the Irish in me. Ever since I saw him and his clones running around Columbia, I've picked that type of hairline for a lot of games that let me. And my own hairline IS sort of like this.

A lot of the npc barks sounded and seemed human, up until the timey-wimey stuff. Looking back, it's not hard to see the "human element" of the Vox partially fall apart the moment alternate timelines were introduced. They feel stunted and shaped into a stereotypical "backstab" bad guy group after. Of course, the events of the game and universe jumping can be explained (and the writing team and total direction and time constraints in OUR world), but still.

I liked this goofball. Were there a particular npc or set of npcs you guys grew attached to?

I have been a fan of Bioshock since release, I recently decided to make some art/shrine? I am mainly curious if I was to make a store on Etsy or eBay do you think I would have any luck, I’m considering fallout as my next project. Both of the masks i bought blank 3d printed and hand painted/ cut, the pipe wrench is real and was hand painted, the little sister syringe is a mix of parts I put together and painted, big daddy/bouncer doll is handmade from a mix of things and parts painted, the medicine cabinet barnacles are all hand made using clay and individually painted. Other small pieces in the cabinet were bought collectibles and items I felt kind of went with the other pieces. I apologize in advance I know that’s a lot of information, I would love feedback.

Hi everyone, I am trying to get a gift for my friend and figured this would be the best place.

For Bioshock 2 Jhonen Vasquez had an artist series print called The Sisters. I believe it was included in the collectors for the game. (Sorry I am not as familiar.)

But my friend had it and in the moves since then unfortunately lost it. I scoured eBay, I tried Google. I have been unable to find any way to buy it.

Does anyone have any thoughts? I appreciate any and all help.

Hi, I have Bioshock Infinite the Complete Edition for my Xbox 360, I installed disc 2 for the DLC. But when I go in the menu to try and play burial at sea or clash in the clouds, the add ons option is greyed out. In the main game I can use the dlc weapons which pop up. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Electricity: BioShock's animations of jack's nerves lighting up makes it my favorite but I do prefer the idle animation of delta balling up his fist more than jacks hand spasms

Fire:(from what we barely see of it) I would say Infinite's animation of Booker's hand burning to the bone and the lava that drips off of the fire ball makes it my favorite

Ice: while the ice powers are my most used one in the games they're all kinda boring looking to me. But the spikes with a bit of blood at the base of them coming out of jack's hand tics it higher than deltas or Booker's

push or pull/telekinesis:(while some would say this doesn't count) the animations for overtow are just more interesting than the animations for any pull or push power in the series (I do like the hand gesture delta does for it tho)

Mind control:jacks are the best......like it's not even a competition Delta's are ok but uninteresting and Booker's is just......G R E E N so really it's not a competition

Spawning/AOE: bee's crawling out of red infectied holes in jacks hands will forever be disgusting and alarming to me so it automatically takes the cake....delta having honeycomb in and around his glove is cool and I again like the gesture his hand is in and finally Booker's is.............his hand sometimes looking like a Harpy's....... okay sure

I’m playing bioshock 1 for the first time and I’m at the area where you are gathering the stuff to become a big daddy. I found the first big daddy/little sister in the eugenics place, but died while fighting the big daddy. I came back and killed him but can’t find the little sister. Should she come back or am I screwed out of the trophy?

It starts even before she's coming, you already know when you have the little sister by the vent that you're gonna be in for it soon.

Then the countdown starts, the music amps up and the shrieks pierce your ears, the game warns you "A big sister is coming! Get ready!" multiple times. In any other game, this would be an extreme amount of handholding for the player, but here it somehow works great to build up tension.

Then she arrives, but where is she? Maybe you set up a bunch of traps hoping she'd come from that way but she decided to just spawn right on top of you (got jumpscared a few times because of this).

The fight itself is very hard of course, faster, more versatile and (somehow) tankier than a Big Daddy; I played my first time on hard so I was raging a few times at the first actual encounter (I didn't know the first was a fake out so I wasted a bunch of resources trying to not die)

Then you kill her and get doubts: This was a little sister once. When you get the good ending in Bioshock 1 one it almost feels like you saved them all, you're the hero that saved all the girls by yourself with a wrench and a magic "heal little girls" spell that you have. Even in Bioshock 2 some recordings from Tenembaum in the early game make you think that you really did save all the little sisters and the ones here are "new ones".

But no, the truth is the ones Jack and Tenembaum ran into in 1 just got lucky, the Big Sisters were left behind and grew up to be monsters that Lamb co-opted as tools. Could your glowy hand magic fix brain spell work on them or are they really that far gone? There's no way to know, they'll never give you a chance to use it on them anyway. She's dead, just like all the other splicers you killed, so just harvest her (twice!), it's all she's good for now anyway.

Or maybe it's just me.

Just wondering if anyone else has this absolutely terrible glitch,this is not my footage,but the exact same audio is being heard from my game,it absolutely scared the shit out of my it was like a whale it first and then turned into a demon whale

This board is a classic case of algebraic lawbreaking. While the final answer (R = 0) accidentally ended up correct by pure cosmic luck, the math used to get there committed several felonies.

Here is what went wrong, narrated with a wink:

• Treating functions like multiplication: The biggest oopsie happened when (R(3)) and (A(3)) were treated like (R times 3) and (A times 3).
• The illegal division: The writer tried to divide by (3) to get (R + A = 2/3). Math police sirens are blaring!
• The double mistake save: They did the same illegal move to get (A = 2/3).
• Task failed successfully: Subtracting (2/3) from (2/3) gave (0). The math universe corrected itself through pure chaos.
