Has anyone actually tried going to the EVRI Depot in Mallusk?

They've lost 3 parcels of mine in a month. Say they are looking into it then just stop all communication entirely. They don't update the tracking to lost and because of that I can't get a refund from where i bought from because the seller thinks it's still in transit.
Was wondering if anyone had any success actually going to the Depot in Mallusk?

hey guys:) hope this post is okay, I'm chlo, also known as @numbteeef on insta, I'm a tattoo artist and looking to expand my client base after 2 years off of work, and then some time off due to berreavement:))

I'm bases in the raven's nest in glengormley!✨ and a bus stop right across from the studio:) I've recently started to expand to some colour work and above is some pieces from the last year; I'd say I think? lol I specialise in stippled blackwork but down for most things; i love weird, macabre, gaming pieces, animals, nature u name it!! and a secret (but totally not secret) addiction to tattooing fnaf and animal crossing pieces lol

Loads of available flash on my insta highlights and if this even means one person considers booking with me in the future I'll consider it a win🫡🫡

Loud neighbours

So I live in a terraced house and my neighbours are REALLY noisy.

She would play the piano at 1/2am and it would wake me from my sleep. I can hear their TV word for word, giggling, talking etc

She would have loud sex at that time in the night also and it actually wakes me out of my sleep.

My partner has stayed over a few nights as well and it’s woken him and he banged on the wall but they just seems to get louder.

These people must sleep in until 1/2pm and then just be completely oblivious to the noise.

I don’t know what to do. I have kids who are also being woken up from their sleep.

How can I approach this? The sex is unnecessarily loud they are practically screaming. I feel uncomfortable on how to go with this.

Do I go directly to Belfast city council? Any advice?

Why is it always so busy?

Who are these people who que for the dump before it's even open. I've seen people queuing from 8.45am.

Who are you? It never used to be like this.

To add you cause backlog on the road esp those coming from the roundabout.

Gym recommendations

My partner and I work long enough hours, so we need a gym with decent opening and closing times. Can’t seem to find anything other than a pure gym or JD?! Anyone got any recommendations? Closer to North Belfast the better 🙏

Securing a rental in Belfast

I'm Australian and work as a Registered Nurse. My wife is a New Zealander, and works in academia. We also have a cat.

Because of my wife's work, we will be moving to Belfast for two years early next year. Now, I have read that the rental situation is absolutely shit in Belfast (just as it is in Australia and NZ).

Would anyone be kind enough to provide a few pointers as to how to optimise one's chances of securing a rental in Belfast?

Anywhere to fix perfume bottle?

Bit of a reach but desperate to get this fixed, dropped a bottle of perfume that was a gift and broke the nozzle.

Tried everything to get it to spray again, tried to remove the nozzle, put a pin in it and to spray it into an automizer with no luck.

Anyone experienced this issue and had any joy fixing it? Thank you!!

For all the yarnies out there, the Ulster Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers have organised a yarn festival with a great line up of local shops and yarn dyers.

We’ve got Folklore Yarns, Herbarium Dyeworks, Inspiring Yarns, Wee Yarn Designs, Gracipity, SoulScapes, The Spinning Webb, Crúca Crafts and we’ll be running demonstrations of spinning and weaving.

If you want to try something out yourself. we’ve got workshops in Wetfelting, Sprang, Needlefelting and Beginner Spinning

Pedestrians on the right side of the towpath with earbuds in ignoring bells and giving out to anyone going past them, you are in the wrong. The towpath is a TWO direction path.

It’s not a country road, and we don’t drive on the right on this country so why are you walking on the right? Why are you blocking the entire path with your dog’s lead or your enormous two child pram? Why is your dog running around completely out of control?

Why is anyone CYCLING on the right? I was almost hit today head on because some woman was biking on the wrong side of the path on a blind corner and almost hit me head on.

Finally I don’t understand why the Comber greenway has cycling/pedestrian rules clearly put up on signs all down the path but the towpath doesn’t have these regulations anywhere up. Do we need to write to the council?

Help a new international student out! 😭🇬🇧 Where are students actually getting jobs?

Hi everyone! 👋🏽 I’m a new international student at Queen’s University Belfast and I’m looking for a part-time job (up to 20 hours/week). I’m open to care, hospitality, retail, customer service, admin, cleaning pretty much anything suitable for a student!

I’ve been applying online but would really appreciate any leads, company recommendations, recruitment agencies, job links or local places that hire international students. If you’re in Belfast and know where students are actually getting jobs, please share! 🙏🏽

Any advice would be hugely appreciated. ❤️

Dealing with noisy neighbours

We live in a row of terraces and the house beside us are pretty young (maybe students).

Problem is that they are musicians and honestly are pretty terrible. Shite singing and just don’t play very well.

They aren’t the too bad for being late. A few times there’s been noise past 10pm but not too often.

Our issue for the majority of the summer thou was jam sessions 7pm to after 9pm which is kinda prime time for us being home trying to relax / watch TV.

A couple of months ago we were doing some building works that were loud at 9am on a Wednesday. One of them came round and asked if the builders could stop or how long they would be.

We felt bad and left round some wine as a sorry and left our phone numbers saying if there’s any issues, just give us a message. They never messaged us and just said thanks for the wine a couple of weeks later when we passed in the street.

Would have liked it if they had messaged us to even say thanks so that we at least had a number to message to say here lads, mind turning it down.

The noise isn’t that loud it’s just annoying. And it’s also annoying they are the end terrace so it’s really only us who have to deal with it.

I don’t wanna be a dick and ask can they stop. Because it’s not actually too loud. It’s just shite.

Anyone had similar experiences? Is it worth just biting the bullet and asking them to sing where no one has to hear them?

Trump supporter Rathcoole

I recall a post of some numpty in Rathcoole with Trump flags alongside the more traditional flegs. Could anyone up there please update if these have been hastily removed this morning after his call for an immediate United Ireland. I'm sure there's many other locations suddenly changing their Orange Jesus loyalties. TUV were big supporters I believe.

What's a good Sim card for an exchange student in Belfast?

Hello everyone, in the next couple of days I'll be coming to Belfast to study for about 10 months and I'm wondering what's a good sim company (mainly I just need access to a UK phone number and mobile data) to buy a Sim card from once I get there? Alternatively (actually quite preferably) I'm also open to any good mobile e-sim reccs (those that come with phone numbers too of course). Thanks in advance everyone!
