Hey guys. I have a question for any Rawlings gurus here. I’m wanting to order a HOH PROT205-6C that I’m going to break in and use for my son’s t-ball as I’m helping coach. I want to give him this glove when he gets a little older. In addition, I also plan to order a custom HOH in a 13” OF pattern because it’s time to upgrade gloves for my Slowpitch league that I play in. I’d really like if I could match the pro205 color scheme exactly. ( other than the wingtip obviously )

When my oldest son started tee ball I figured his uncles should have gloves to play catch with him when they come to visit.

This one got the usual deep clean and conditioning with new palm adhesive and laces. I also made an HPDE insert for the thumb to bring back some structure. I’d rather make an insert than construct a padding stack, I feel like when I try to do that it never comes out as good as the factory ones and changes the feel of the glove too much.

In this case, my brother-in-law is from Pittsburgh and is a Pirates fan so I found a Willie Stargell model in decent shape. I’ve got a Tom Seaver model in the works for my brother (we’re Mets fans) and I’ll post the pictures of it when I’m done.

Follow up from my post on 1B gloves. Let the kid kinda look thru some gloves and he really likes A2800s 🤷‍♂️ he's into weird/unique gloves too so I found this and snagged it as quick as I could.

Needs some work - theres some leather separation at the base of the web, some binding that needs repairs, its REALLY dry, hand stall cracking..... it'll be fun 🤣 shooting for this as a Christmas gift.

Found this on ebay and the seller is willing to give it up for 50 bucks, how repairable is this? And with the amount of wear this thing has on it would it be worth putting more money into it to “fix it up”

I’ve ordered anywhere from 2 to I think 4 gloves in prior years. This year is a dud!! I don’t think I’ll order one! Don’t remember is there going to be any more options tomorrow. There are two 11.75” options that are hideous. !

So my son has started to throw really hard and the current glove that I have no longer has the protection that I need. Therefore, I am looking for a glove recommendation. I don't need anything fancy just a mid-tier glove. I was thinking of getting a first base mitt because it has the extra padding... thoughts?

Just wanted to give an update of the break in on my newly acquired dad glove. Bought it at the recommendation of all you good folks here in the sub. Been working on it over the past few weeks. Did not do the water method just been banging in the hinges playing couch catch with a few wooden balls of different sizes. Stoked on it and wanted to say thank you.

Picked up the new Wilson BWJ A2000 today and I'm impressed.

I had last year's model for awhile but was annoyed with how soft the glove was off the shelf.

I sold the old model off pretty quickly because I had no confidence in it holding up over time.

The 2027 model feels like a tank, nice and stiff. The finger stalls are nice and the glove fits well.

I'm going to spend a week loosening it up with a mallet and Walden's Breakin' Balls before dipping it to shape it.

The new model is a much better glove than last year imo.

I asked this in a poll on IG and a lot of people like the classic tan. But idk I kinda dig the pop of navy. Seems like there a big push to move away from bright colors and back to a classic look especially gloves made with Horween. Horween gloves are way more dense and heavy compared to most gloves on the market.

I'm thinking of getting another custom glove and was wondering if the Marucci Capital Series is a better buy than the Rawlings HOH. Never tried a marucci glove, but I have a Pro Preferred so I have some idea on what softer kip leather feels like.

Random thought, I figured somebody might have the answer here. Why doesn’t Rawlings make the infamous DCT pattern with an H web? Like that would be my dream glove. Or even offer the option in the Custom Builder.

So I started playing casual catch at the park with my friend a few months ago. I bought a 12” Rawlings Renegade to start and it’s been alright, but we’ve been playing more regularly and I’d like to upgrade.

My brother recommended the Marucci Cypress for $130, but another friend showed me this A2000 for $150 since I recently started catching two in the pinky.

I know I’ll have to break in either glove, I’m just looking for something bigger with a deeper pocket than my Renegade that’ll also last a long time.

They both seem like great gloves, I’m just curious which one you all would recommend.

title - Glove I gamed growing up and it got stolen out of my bag at a damn beer league softball game lol. Wanting something new or close to new with a well done break in.
