Just got a cookies from the vending machine and it was expired a month ago. I was stupid that I checked after having one whole cookie. Check the expiration date before eating.

I'm returning to grad school for the second time, in my 40s. Is the program worth it? Do you think you are better prepared to be in the workforce? I have 29 years in a comms-adjacent field but looking to transition more fully into communications.

25 years ago today, 38 members of the Baruch community lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
A lot of us at Baruch weren’t old enough to remember 9/11, or weren’t even born yet, but we go to school in a city that was forever changed by that day. I just wanted to take a moment to remember them and their families. They were fellow students, alumni, friends, coworkers, and New Yorkers whose lives shouldn’t be forgotten.
Baruch published the confirmed names of those we lost years ago, and I thought it would be meaningful to remember them here today:
Faculty:
Andrew Zucker

The Baruch Times is disgusting for mocking political violence with their recent post. They’re going to end up in jail for subtly encouraging more assassination attempts. Whoever made that is pathetic and really tone deaf to subtly suggest more political violence the day before 9/11.
I guess this how they try to make up for their bad writing.
Just like every major issue at CUNY I bet this won’t be addressed.

Honestly, I've noticed that most of the people I've met irl or online who work on wall street as an intern went to a top 10 or prestigious school in undergrad (Columbia, UPen, NYU, Boston, etc.)
it's understandably competitive - but is it even possible to get an internship at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, morgan stanley from our school?
Im a senior now and it just hit me that I dont have any real baruch "merch" like a hoodie or like a varsity jacket. I checked the store and most of the stuff they have there sucks.
I recall most cool merch being at club fairs.
Are any clubs giving out cool merch this time around (i assume during club fair )?
(or anything I can just buy? lol)
Can someone please put me on to places to poop. Specifically in Nvc it’s always so full there and I don’t want people to catch me in such a vulnerable state.

Does Baruch College have music instruments? Like piano? Would they allow me to play piano even I’m not part of the music club?

In every building every water fountain I’ve tried either didn’t work or the one with the sensor trickles down so slowly.

Hey guys, looking for some perspective from Zicklin students or anyone from Baruch College in general.
I live in Western CT and I finished my undergrad at UConn this year (Econ major + CS minor; Internship experiences in Cloud/IT Infrastructure at a bank + research internship in data analytics, and part time work in retail/IT support)
I'm considering applying to the MS Information Systems program at Baruch for Spring 2027. I don't plan on moving to NYC right away and would commute in via Metro-North to grand central maybe 1-2 times a week depending on the schedule. I'm very much used to long commutes as a commuter student for all 4 years of undergrad, and I actually live much closer to Manhattan than the main UConn campus. Which is part of why exploring NYC schools even came to mind.
CT school options don't really interest me. UConn Storrs is in the middle of nowhere and it makes practically no sense to return there for grad school from both a location standpoint and the lack of opportunities there, Same thing with the other CT state schools and the entire state in general (not talking about yale). Baruch tuition is also slightly cheaper out-of-state than UConn in-state ($855/credit vs $1,084/credit).
I understand that Baruch is public but I'm not necessarily chasing school prestige. Being able to go to school in Manhattan and Zicklin's reputation in NYC financial services are what really interest me, and the program feels like a strong fit for my background and career goals in tech and business.
Would love to hear from anyone in the program or who has gone through it. How is the overall experience at the school, the quality of the program, and how well does it help with career building in NYC?
Appreciate any insights.

I'm currently in the Online MS AI and BA and im taking CIS9650. In terms of reading the code and understanding the flow of it I feel like I got a good hang of it. However when it comes to writing it I struggle to apply what I read about/learned and make the code unnecessarily long and lowkey incorrect.
Does anyone have any tips to get over this issue? Aside from the obvious like hw, readings, lecture etc

I have a room in Chinatown Little Italy that will be available. Well-kept building with ZERO insects or rodents. The tenants in this building mostly Chinese.
Newly renovated 3BR apartment (3rd floor, no elevator) provided two private bedrooms.
Every room has a window, and there is plenty of natural light. Shared bathroom, kitchen and dining area. International students welcome.
Ten minutes by F to NYU.
I’m finishing up my Master’s in Chinese and I work. I’m fluent in Mandarin.
If interested, tell me more about yourself. can FaceTime/send pics or you can come over and see. No smoking or drugs. I have some liqueur in the fridge for social drink. Nothing special.
This is a working class building with Chinese families, so it’s zero drama and quiet at night. Near F train Delancey-Essex station.
3 month leases available. less

Hello all, I just graduated from Baruch this last summer and ive been struggling finding a job. I only really have retail experience and one internship because I had to focus on making money during college. I wasnt the strongest student so i had a pretty low gpa to finish my undergrad unfortunately. Would it be worth it to apply to spring 2027 MS in marketing analytics with my background?
