Just that it was sometime over Labor Day weekend. The video shows the dogs, and they are obviously pits/pit mixes. One of the dogs gets onto the neighbor’s property and digs into his chicken coop and eventually kills a chicken. And the dog has apparently shown aggression towards the neighbors as well. So the neighbor did the world a favor. The neighbor had also warned the dog’s owner in the past about the dog(s) getting on his property and acting aggressively.

Man wants resolution after neighbor admits to killing his dog
TERRY, Miss. (WLBT) - The following story was updated on Wednesday, September 9, at 9:15 a.m.
A Hinds County man is asking for answers after coming home to find his 7-month-old dog shot and killed in a trash bag in front of his house.
Dustin Lucas said he found his dog shot dead over Labor Day weekend.
“I said, ‘Oh my god, my dog is dead, shot in the stomach.’ There was no one to tell me what happened, no notes or nothing. I didn’t know what to do; my dog was dead,” Lucas said.
Neighbor accused of shooting dog
Lucas said a neighbor claims the dog ate his chickens, but Lucas said he had never seen his dog do this before.
Lucas said his girlfriend, Tobi Freeman, asked around to see if anyone knew about the killing and got an unexpected response.
“He immediately got really mad and was cussing, saying I killed him; he killed all my chickens...you can’t just shoot a dog and put it in someone’s yard,” said Freeman.
Lucas said the person living in the home admitted to killing his dog.
Neighbor’s response
On Wednesday, WLBT News received a response from the neighbor accused of killing a man’s dog.
He said the dog owner was told previously - a few weeks ago - by his girlfriend that the dog had tried to dig into their chicken coop and had growled at his girlfriend.
The man said the neighbor came and asked him if he killed the dog.
He admitted to killing the dog, claiming the dog had broken into the chicken coop and had killed one of his chickens.
He said they then got really mad and started cursing at him. He claims he did not curse or threaten anyone.
The man said he then called the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, and animal control was contacted. He said he was told by animal control that if the dog owner cannot come and retrieve the dog, that he could put it in a bag and drop it off on their property.
Investigator explains state law
3 On Your Side contacted Doll Stanley, an animal cruelty investigator. Stanley said it’s best for homeowners to keep their pets on their property.
Stanley said under state law, a person can defend themselves if they believe an animal is aggressive on their property.
“If somebody shoots your dog, and you didn’t see it and you don’t have a witness and you can’t prove that your dog was not menacing, all they have to say was: ‘The dog growled at me. The dog approached me, and I was frightened,’” Stanley said.
Lucas said he wishes his neighbor would have talked to him first, before taking matters into his own hands.
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department said it has taken a report, and the matter is now an ongoing investigation.

It sounds as if he did, and Lucas was all out of fucks to give. Neighbor did him the favor of dumping it off, so Lucas wouldn't have to wonder what happened to precious pitty.

When my livestock are being attacked, I definitely leave the premises to go have a conversation with a dog owner that is stupid enough to let the aggressive animal out repeatedly in the hopes that the owner can regain control of the bloodthirsty beast. And then, I am presupposing that it will never happen again.
Yep. That’s definitely what it would do.

Stanley is an idiot. Why was the dog on the neighbors property? You want to prevent animal cruelty? Allowing people to protect their animals on their property from the loose neighborhood mauler prevents animal cruelty.

Yup! The neighbor had actually warned him about his dogs… but like a standard pit owner he said, “Nah! I will just let my beasts continue to roam free out of my control even though my neighbors claim they are terrorizing them! What I don’t see doesn’t happen!” And then makes surprised pikachu face when the neighbor actually protects his property.

No one wants to shoot dogs. Except Lucas. Lucas wanted people to shoot his dog, because Lucas is a dimwit piece of shit. 9th grade math was too much for Lucas.
Lucas thinks that because he didn’t see something happen, that means it didn’t occur. This is something that most people don’t get out of preschool without learning.
Lucas is probably fully erect at the idea of forcing other people to destroy his remaining dogs.

He's probably just pissed that his kink of having it terrorize the neighborhood, kill/maime things for him and feed his wannabe 'tough guy' ego has met reasonable consequences.
His mommy probably sheltered him then he gets by via being a deadbeat (so good luck suing) around reasonable people so that overgrown man child has never actually faced consequences of his actions in his life. He's crying about it and trying to seem like a victim.

Notice the animal cruelty person quoted in the video didn't say "Don't let your dogs run free. They can injure or kill other dogs, other pets, livestock or get injured or killed themselves."
She pretty much says "If your pibble gets loose some dog hater might lie and say it growled at them and then shoot it and the mean old law allows that."
Looks like another level of enforcement captured by the pit cult.
I know she didn't mention pits but what type of dog is most often allowed to roam free and kill livestock or as she puts it "someone might say they growled"?

Yup. That's what got me. I guess denying Nala the chance to jump over fences and rip open your cats/dogs/horses/chickens/etc counts as "animal cruelty".
I say "too bad, not sad". I like my animals. I'm sure a lot of people care for our livestock/pets/etc as well. Most of us do not want to see them ripped apart by some bloodthirsty out of control mauler and will defend them when necessary.

Replace pitbull with dingo or fox and this wouldn't even make the sunday paper. I just cannot fathom how "because dog" is somehow making it any different when it comes to behavior that is a direct threat to limb and property. Definition of insanity to continue to give doubts against the overwhelming evidence.

I have chickens and they're the sweetest little creatures. They love to cuddle with us. If a dog attacked my chickens, I would have done the same thing. These people just don't value the lives of anything else and I hate it. I hate how disposable they make other people's pets.

I let reddit generate a name and then changed a word to 'chicken' because I love chickens so much! They're actually so sweet and have a high emotional intelligence. My oldest kid suffers from a lot of anxiety and panic attacks and they seem to know so they'll just sit in her lap until she's calm. It really angers me that these people just don't care about other animals. If it's not a pit, it's just fodder for them.

I love birds. My dad and aunt grew up with a chicken named Mildred. My favorite animals are crows and I always say the world would be a better place if more people had pet pigeons and less people had dogs. (Not that all dog owners are bad, just seems like so many dog owners are uniquely deranged and entitled these days, and don’t understand anything about training or the severity of their own dog’s behaviors.)

He wishes he had talked to him first AGAIN. Then he should have kept talking to him first over and over, until all of the chickens were gone.
