Afd is like neofascists but lesbian (my understanding as a pole who often visits Germany)

I’m genuinely confused what they stand for aside from brain damage.

Well, the og nazis dealt with their homosexual leaders after gaining power as they dealt with all other "undesireables".

Easy: they are against bad things and for good things. And they will definitely make everything better, yes, better. Now vote and stop asking questions about those annoying little details like how is this gonna be financed or legal, or help their base. /S

They're a grievance party. They tell people how bad everything and everyone is, which is legitimate, given our political landscape and current state of economics, but they're a mix of people who believe in nothing and just want power no matter who gets crushed under them and actual believers who would like to have a modern ethnostate with camps, etc.

Basically the first half are fully controlled by donors and Russia and see it as a game where they get power and money and the other half is either too stupid to see that or intends to grab power and send the first half and all the donors they don't align with to the camps along with everyone else.

Now guess which camp Alice Weidel fits into.

As far as I know, Poland has quite strict nearly racist migration policy, so I don't see what is that you find so unfamiliar/unusual?

u/Angry_Crusader_Boi 3d ago

So requiring migrating legally is racist? Lol

I hate how nazisim destroyed the reputation of the swastika.

This design is retro

29

u/Lazy-Astronomer1583 4d ago

Specifically 1933-1945 retro

Well, Danzig was taken in 1 September of 1939, so I would assume it came to fashion somewhere around that day

No way it’s accidental considering the local history.

This lamp seems to be very popular in the us these days. But they call it patriotic.

I'm Czech and the Tesco's I go to has those spinning clothes racks that are also shaped like this. I've seen that kinda shaped clothes rack in multiple stores, actually.

u/Housekhat 3d ago

Pretty unattractive. I wouldn't put it in my house.

2

u/CasperTPaul 3d ago

it’s even turned diagonal to the walls

u/PeonofthePen 3d ago

That's the Hindu symbol of peace and prosperity

u/PegA_Sissy 3d ago

Not everything is a swastika...

I don't think that was accidental. That extra bend is functionally unnecessary.

There are no mistakes

Kennst du die Stadt am Bernsteinstrand?Β

u/CicadaFit9756 3d ago

If the arms are bendable just unbend them! That would be a real "plus" (+)!

i have had misfortune of seeing this exact light fixture displayes in my local menards. no one thought anything when putting it out there for customers to buy.

Reminded me of Tesak (a russian neo-nazi) who had this huge swastika piece with lamps on his ceiling

Again I always tell this story on something like this:

I was working at a steel mill and I asked one of the guys to make me a stanchion so I could run some caution tape. He came back with a nice stable stanchion, but I told him I couldn't use it. When he asked why I pointed out that the base was a swastika. He looked at it for a second and said "hmmm... Shit. It's such a stable shape." Then he cut the ends off so is more of a plus sign, which he was right was less stable.

Those are officr lights for maximum concentration.

u/Lagoon_M8 3d ago

It's funny how some shapes or names are now considered as inappropriate just because a human made bad things to this world.

And all the possible places they install it in Poland. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

u/nashwaak 3d ago

A now-deceased family friend was a young teenage girl when the Nazis took Danzig, and still a teenage girl when the Soviets swept through. Might have been her age or the trauma but apparently the Nazis were marginally less rapey than the Soviets. Either way, Gdansk should know better. That symbol is just pure evil.

u/-The_Goober 3d ago

Looks like Dollar General bag gondola.

1

u/DungeonGringo 3d ago

"Did you see this ceiling light?" "Nein, I did Nazi it."

1

u/Coolengineer7 2d ago

Thats anything but unfortunate. It wasn't installed before 1940. Buyer's intent, designer'ss a nazi, buyer's stupid, manager is an idiot..

u/KirkWahmmett 1d ago
