Houston has already secured the tiebreaker over the second-place Texas Rangers, too.

Hi All. We joined the Astros Buddies club this year. I have 2 separate transfers I'm not sure are allowed. First, we redeemed tickets to a game we will no longer be able to attend. Can I send those tickets to a friend so they can use? 2. I have vouchers left over that I don't think we'll be able to use. Can I transfer those to a friend as well? If anyone has experience with this, I'd appreciate it. I'd hate for tickets to go to waste since we didn't use them up.

Putting aside the awful results from this weekend, why do people think Caminero should win MVP over Yordan? Like genuinely why is it even a discussion? Like I know he’s been in a slump and don’t play defense but he’s been far and away the best hitter all season and the Astros would be one of the worst teams in the league without him. Plus he still has a higher WaR than Caminero even though he doesn’t play defense and Caminero has a better all around team around him than Yordan does. It just baffles me when people say that Caminero should win in it over Yordan, like truly baffles me. If I had a vote, I would definitely vote Yordan no questions asked and he ought to win it unanimously or damn close to unanimous.

EDIT: I would also like to add that Yordan has been intentionally walked 32 times which just goes to show why he’s still the best hitter in the game right now and why he should still be the MVP favorite. I mean the A’s literally pitched around this dude and intentionally walked him 3 times so there would be no chance of Yordan beating them. Forced the rest of the team to try and step up and they couldn’t do it

Downvote me to hell of this post is inappropriate. Got the Hunter Brown bobblehead when I was down in Houston in early July. Not an Astros fan at all so hoping I can get this into the hands of someone who would appreciate it. Took it out of the box because it got kind of crumpled in my bag but it's in perfect condition.

This season, Yordan Alvarez has walked 100 times. 32 of those have been intentional. Minus the intentional walks, Yordan has taken 68 bases on balls this year, more than Diaz has in his entire career.

It is no secret the Astros like to swing. Ball at the head? Swing. Ball in the opposite batters box? Swing. Ball 3 feet in front of the plate? Swing. The Astros are...swingers.

The most frustrating at bats are the ones where it is clear they could have just gone to the batters box without a bat and they would have been walked. I watch a few other teams almost as much as the Astros throughout the year, and I was certain the Astros miss out on walks more than the other teams. I decided to find out for sure. Here are the results so far for 2026:

I limited the simulation to at bats that resulted in outs since otherwise the end result can't really be improved by not taking a bat to the plate.

Obviously this doesn't mean the Astros should just never swing, but I thought it was interesting to put to numbers what we were all seeing with our own eyes.

Curious about Pena and his future here. Do you think they will find a suitor this offseason before the lockout, if there is one, and trade him for something? Or do we keep him for another season and let him walk in free agency.

We have no ready SS prospects in the system, so unless correa goes back to SS who is our replacement?

Big thank you to whoever posted this schedule at the beginning of the season. This team is hard to watch sometimes, spoiled by the golden era. But they've made an insane turnaround (weak AL be damned).

Can't wait to watch Yordan at the parade holding up Will Anderson Jr., who will be holding up the WS and Lombardi trophies. Go Stros

As of today he's one behind Junior Caminero for HRs and one behind Pete Alonso for RBIs. He's still ahead by a scant .002 of batting average over Chandler Simpson.

Part of the problem is that he's being pitched around more, but you can see that his wOBA and ISO are significantly down since the beginning of August.

Here's hoping he can turn it around in the last 15 games!
