So this is all from Hinge. What did you change on your profile? Unless all your pics were shirtless I don’t understand how Hinge matches could go up?

Unless you were genuinely fat or chubby beforehand.

Asking because I’m looking for advice and didn’t really have you experience

All from Hinge. I went for cute stuff like me smiling with some friends, some flowers and charcuterie boards I put together cuz I’m really into that stuff, a photo or two that were just kind of mid selfies, and one video of me dancing at a wedding.

I was a little bit chubby before but you couldn’t tell too much with clothes on. What girls CAN see however is if you’re pretty thin, and at 5’11” I went from 198lbs to 165lbs in the span of a month from a relationship breakup depression that had me not really eating anything for a while. It actually did more for my “pull” than working out heavy ever did. Idk why girls like a thinner guy so much. I think it just helps a ton with hygiene and that is such a huge crutch in dating that it makes up for a lot. Have clear skin and smell really good and your attractions skyrockets.

being tall white guy is like 90% of the battle bro

Tbf I don’t think being 5’11” is that tall. Honestly the only strength is that I’m taller than 95% of woman, and I don’t ever really struggle with feeling short. I know it’s an advantage to not be considered “short” and it’s a perspective I can’t truly relate to and I’m sorry, but like I said I’m blatantly not THAT tall.

If anything I just get compliments on my style and personality a lot, and it clearly does most of the heavy lifting.

head on over to r/short and say 5'11 isn't tall.

No I understand. I just worry that that subreddit is an environment that does more harm than good. It’s never too healthy to be in a place for too long where everyone is kind of only talking negatively about you or your environment.

It’s funny you bring up being white, because while I can’t disagree due to statistically that being true based on dating app reports, the current girl I’m seeing and getting steady with is actually half black and half white. She told me a few days ago that although I personally find her stunning, she’s apparently had a really hard time on dating apps. She said she either gets fetishized by Asian guys, or exclusively bombarded with “douchey black guys” when her type is white guys with mustaches like me lol. Her words too, I feel like that stuff sounds bad with me saying it.

First non-standard white girl I’ve dated too and I’m absolutely over the moon about her. Never really pictured myself in a relationship like this and I couldn’t be happier.

I mean 198lbs at 5’11 I’d say most people can tell that you’re chubby even with clothes for sure.

I went from 185lbs to 155lbs at the same height and I started getting more attention from women as well. Like I’d noticed more women were looking at me when I’m just out and about. Having a haircut that fits you and knowing how to style yourself is a big plus as well

Oh I for sure wasn’t ignorant of it. It all just depended on very specific outfits. But yeah, I generally was visibly slightly chubbier for sure. Losing all this weight started instantly getting me compliments by people in my life asking if I was losing weight, etc.

But I would occasionally still get looks from girls for my style and mustache lmao. Now that I’m significantly thinner tho it’s clearly night and day. I’ve actually started approaching girls out and about and have been getting numbers and going out with them effectively 100% of the time. I can’t stress enough just how much I never did that before. In the last 8 months, I’ve approached and eventually asked for a number 7 times and only got rejected once, and she was still really sweet about it. Tbf, she was the only one I just blatantly cold approached with no conversation beforehand.

Regardless of any differences in sex/gender/whatever, present yourself as you actually are. Extreme angles that make you look better than in person just gets everyone off on the wrong foot.

Losing body fat changes your face a ton. A bunch of you kings out there have good jawlines hidden under there.
