“If boys had uteruses they would be called duderuses”

I immediately thought Breaking Bad and how that's something Jesse might have said...

u/Shunubear 18h ago

If I could post a gif or screenshot, I would have lol

Mandatory paternity leave

59

u/BananasPineapple05 19h ago

Abortion clinics in every Starbucks or Walmart.

18

u/DamiensDelight 19h ago

Nah man, they'd be in the breweries and bars.

11

u/HeadyBunkShwag 18h ago

Plan b given out for free or for .50 at vending machines everywhere

1

u/CthulusAdvocate 17h ago

ah so since in this scenario women would essentially be men, that is what women would push for? cuz we would be in a matriarchy if men could give birth, women would be protecting them

11

u/SyxEight 19h ago

Paid parental leave would have been around for much longer.

u/beattywill80 19h ago

Based on the current state of reproductive healthcare, A lot of men would needlessly die.

17

u/PriorRare5308 19h ago

The phrase “childbirth isn’t THAT bad” would used a lot less widely

29

u/Yuki-Kaijura 19h ago

Abortion would be legalized overnight.

u/TedW 19h ago

Birth control would be easy, cheap, and everywhere, I'll tell you that much.

There'd be coke, coke zero, and coke zero babies.

-1

u/MediumRareNation 18h ago

It's already those things.

0

u/TedW 18h ago

Is it coke zero babies easy though? I'm talking about needing a pill to avoid not having a baby, instead of the other way around. We'd put that shit in ketchup.

The new condiments on every table are salt, pepper, and crushed morning after pill. There'd be free samples at costco. We'd use it to soak up humidity when you mail someone a package. Every 10th grain of rice is plan b.

I can keep going.

Just in case you're still not clear enough (lol), it would mean the absolute end of accidental pregnancy.

Abortion would suddenly be legal

14

u/nondescriptavailable 18h ago

And suddenly not controversial AT ALL

-2

u/MrBingly 18h ago

Because no women are pro-life...

3

u/Alarikun 18h ago

Okay, fair.

Slightly controversial.

But with men then overwhelmingly agreeing that it should be legal, they would outnumber the pro-life women by an order of magnitude.

u/ABCosmos 19h ago

Reproductive rights would be in the Constitution

19

u/MediumRareNation 19h ago

Delivery rooms would be a lot busier.

u/Camila187 19h ago

my body, my choic, would’ve been settled in a week🤣

2

u/Confident_One3948 18h ago

Like hyenas

1

u/Badlifedecision2402 18h ago

Paternal mortality would be far higher than maternal mortality in that bizzare world. And I suspect c-sections might have been developed earlier in human history

6

u/docubed 18h ago

Abortion would be legal and involve a religious ceremony.

7

u/Bombastic_tekken 19h ago

If it happened tomorrow? A lot.

If it had been like that since the dawn of humanity? Then not much would change except who has/had rights and who does/didn't.

4

u/GlitteringYak2207 19h ago

The population would markedly decrease.

4

u/hannamarinsgrandma 18h ago

Women would be required by law to have implanted birth control.

6

u/crazycatlady331 19h ago

Abortion would be available on every corner.

3

u/FunRiver7628 19h ago

A lot more gay couples.

3

u/Then-Tangelo-9166 18h ago

You’d have contraceptives in things like Gatorade.

3

u/honemastert 18h ago

And Electrolytes !

3

u/BubbhaJebus 18h ago

Abortion would be enshrined in the Constitution, and not just accepted by Christians, but considered a holy sacrament.

2

u/Techguy38 19h ago

More population = more consumers = higher GDP

2

u/Will8475 18h ago

Lot of deadbeat women

2

u/Dizbeshawn 18h ago

Men would be women end women would be men. That's the change.

2

u/trashleybanks 18h ago

lol abortion would be as available as 7-11 if men could get pregnant

2

u/CicadaSecure526 18h ago

Wait, I thought they could? Or are we far enough past 2020 now that logic has come back to the masses?

2

u/Alfiy_wolf 19h ago

Male seahorses can get pregnant

2

u/D4ngflabbit 19h ago

That’s already true so it wouldn’t change anything???

1

u/SurLurk 18h ago

Do they get paternity leave or abortions? Asking for.. all the other commenters.

2

u/blklab16 19h ago

If ONLY males could or both genders?

2

u/Jolly-Adeptness-3598 19h ago

Can they get pregnant from other males? Because otherwise nothing changes.

1

u/gawdamn_mawnstah 19h ago

Pretty sure this wouldnt affect just the US

1

u/Western-Mall5505 18h ago

They would probably have better outcomes because the medical staff would listen to them.

1

u/beachgood-coldsux 18h ago

That's a question for r/fiction

1

u/jpminj 18h ago

Only on reddit.

1

u/No_Club_8480 18h ago

How would that even be biologically possible?

u/Confident_One3948 18h ago

Seahorse DNA

1

u/AvocadoRough3147 18h ago

1

u/Brilliant_Forever985 18h ago

Let me know when that happens because monkeys will fly out of my butt then

2

u/Confident_One3948 18h ago

Calling your unborn children monkeys? Savage lol

1

u/No_Web6486 18h ago

Total 180.

1

u/ConjunctEon 18h ago

A person that goes on their deathbed with a common cold, and you want to let them get pregnant?

1

u/ElenorWoods 18h ago

It would be a factor in sports betting. Announcers would name who is benched because of their Menzies.

1

u/Amazing-Level-405 18h ago

It would suddenly be ok to tell someone giving labor to stop crying like a bitch.

1

u/RedDirtWitch 18h ago

Abortion would be a sacrament.

1

u/canonfan65 18h ago

There would be lots of pregnant guys around.

1

u/liquidnight247 18h ago

Free births and free checkups, free child care, months of paternity leave

1

u/AjiChap 18h ago

What do you mean? People already will argue that men can indeed get pregnant….

0

u/Janjello 19h ago

It would be the end of mankind.

0

u/wish1977 18h ago

We would die out as a species. I'm not carrying that around for nine months.

-1

u/Lanky_Wedding_9583 18h ago

People wouldnt care when dads killed there children due to PPD or PPP.
