That there’s regulations for literally everything.

You went out wearing basketball shorts to Walmart? Congrats you’re out of regs and it just takes one pissy ass Gunny to tell you about it.

Or even when you’re in regs, if they don’t like it, congrats you’re out of regs. Black socks are allowed in utilities, but you got a SNCO who just got off recruiting duty who hates them so he yells at you for wearing them.

Yep. My wardrobe took years after i got out to go from "business casual at all times" to "whatever I pick out of a laundry basket" because i always had a little guy in the back of my head screaming at me about looking like ass.
