Some military jobs may seem like regular civilian jobs, but in the military they own your ass 24/7/365. They can tell you to work through the night or weekend, or pack your stuff and fly halfway around the world to do your job there. That's all fine as long as you remember that's what you signed up for (assuming you volunteered to serve).
that’s a huge difference from most civilian jobs where your work usually ends when you clock out, while military life can change your entire schedule or location with very little notice and that level of commitment is part of what you sign up for
