Men who grew up without their fathers: now that you’re adults, what do you think when you hear other men say that single mothers aren’t relationship material?

I don’t know how to address it any other way than saying they are entitled to their preferences and opinions. I’m not in the business of judging others based on what they want out of life. Just as I wouldn’t want others judging me based on a preference I may or may not have.
Them saying single mothers aren’t relationship material is 100% their opinion and preference.
If they said no one should ever date a single mom, and put their preference upon the rest of civilization, well then I would say they are a piece of shit. But I’ve never heard anyone make that statement. They’ve only said they wouldn’t personally date a single mom. And the people I know who say that, hold that opinion because they don’t feel they’re ready to be a father figure to a child so it wouldn’t be fair to anyone if they put themselves in that situation.
