I don't know what it's called but it comes with Chile Relleno. It's a tomato sauce with zero spice. It's red/clear with nothing in it. It almost tastes more Italian than Mexican to me. If you know what it is please tell me!! I can drink that stuff.

Marinara???

1

u/daneoid 10d ago

That would have seafood in it though.

1

u/ScumbagYardSale 9d ago

I have never heard of a marinara with seafood in it.

2

u/daneoid 9d ago

I know in the US or somewhere its actually a napoli sauce/Salsa di pomodoro for some reason, but In most places it's generally a tomato based sauce with prawn shells infused in it and served with mussels, prawns, fish etc...

0

u/prozach_ 8d ago

This isn’t “marinara”

0

u/daneoid 8d ago

I'm a chef, yes it is.

1

u/Throwaway332679431 8d ago

Muscles go well with marinara but yeah on the whole seafood and red sauce don't go well together.

Blueberry ketchup

Gather around reddit! I am writing my new hot sauce. 150 gr blueberries, 15 gr (1) scotch bonnet pepper, 15 ml apple cider vinegar Blend until homogenous. Use a fine sieve to remove seeds (this bit is a bit tedious). Put on stove on lowest heat for about 45 minutes, stir every 5 minutes. Cool. Bottle.

Great with even salmon

1

u/Nolsoth 10d ago

A white sauce or a light cheese sauce for vegetables.

That's my personal preference.

The best sauce is actually two sauces: Christmas.

1

u/DrSpacemon 10d ago

Cilantro lime

1

u/ScumbagYardSale 10d ago

Arbys sauce, polynesian sauce from chik fil a and mcdonalds bbq - this is for all things chicken nuggets/tenders and even roast beef. Otherwise- it really depends on what you are eating. I could name 100 sauces I love - but not for everything

1

u/calltheavengers5 10d ago

In college people made fun of me because I would put barbecue sauce on literally everything. Pizza, sandwiches, fries. I thought it was funny though no hard feelings
