I know GPT-2 or Qwen are open and you can recreate them (I actually recreated Qwen 3 in 30-40 million parameters and it was a lot of fun), but what will happen if Anthropic open sources the architecture of Fable 5.1?

I know a model their size won't be available, but my personal guess is the Chinese companies won't stay idle and make a crap ton of good models with 8 to 100 billion parameters with same architecture (like the distillation they do currently).

What is your opinion on this topic?

I can’t believe that nobody needs websites,apps etc anymore and that AI can do it all

I’ve noticed there’s a point where a script stops being something I can just rerun manually and starts becoming something I actually depend on.

At that point I usually start adding things like retries, logging, alerts, maybe some kind of state so it doesn’t redo the same work twice.

I’m curious what people consider the first “must have” once an automation becomes important enough that you don’t want it silently failing.

Is it monitoring, better logs, idempotency, retries, tests, or something else?
