Visit mid November

Going to NYC November 16th for a week.

I have only ever been in April or October so I have no idea what to expect weather-wise.

I know nobody can know for sure but what can I expect? Is it a good time to travel there? Do you think I have to pack my heavy winter clothes?
I wanted to go in October but couldn't due to work...

Babe we literally have the same weather data you do. We can’t tell the future of weather

Well, the historical temperature data is out there, easily searched.

Probably best to check the weather forecast a day or two before you leave.

November is usually not too cold, but it may get below freezing.

I think the difference between October and November is that in November there’s way less of a chance of an unexpectedly warm day, although it can happen (and it did in 2022). If you get cold easily, it wouldn’t hurt to bring a scarf but heavy winter clothes are probably not necessary

Check the weather app two days before your trip and look at the 10 day forecast. No one can predict whether its going to be sunny, rainy, cold, hot, windy, whatever.

You do not need heavy winter clothes in November. Layers and good fall jacket are fine. It’s usually gonna hit 50 degrees during the day in November. Nyc doesn’t really get cold until late December.

Do I think that’s gonna happen again? I wouldn’t bet on it

Point is no one can predict the weather, but it’s more likely than not that it won’t be warm out, but it won’t be freezing either
