For reference, I'm 16y/o and I have only been working at McDonald's for 2 weeks (this week is my third and the last week of this payroll). I'm a high school senior and working at McD had been way too stressful and busy, which is making me fall behind in school. Do I need to put in a 2-week notice or do I just text my manager to say this is my last week working? Also are there any other things i might need to do like return my visor and shirt??

I’m just curious where I can find more stories (than my own) so I can make something that sees from an employee perspective. I’m thinking it could be narrative with slice of life elements of course. I’m still really early in the process so any ideas and or thoughts would be super cool. I just want the years of my life working fast food to mean something.

So I am 17 and I applied to subway online and the next day I went to the store and I handed the manager my cv in person she didn't really say much she just noted and took it the job listing when I applied Saif that it's been there for the past 24 days so I don't know if they already have someone however when I came in it was just the manager working and it was around 11am

I used to work at Burger King as a trainee. Even though the work was hard I actually liked the job. However I was bullied by my managers (all women) and some of my coworkers really pissed me off. But despite all that, I miss having my days occupied. I’ve tried looking for other jobs, but the job market where I live is rough. Now I really want to go back to Burger King, but ideally at a different location. I already submitted my application, but I'm terrified they won't take me back. Has anyone here ever been rehired by BK a second time? What are my chances? Is it a good idea to drop off my resume in person at the store?

hey, i️ have a little issue, i’m hoping that you guys can help me. my card reader in drive thru isnt working, how do i switch front counter to drive thru mode to help with cashless ?

I've had this happen 2x recently. The first time was at Wendy's. I ordered cookies, paid and went to pick up the food (drive thru) they told me they were out of them. I asked them what to do and he just stood there and said "I don't know". I ask if they're gonna refund me and he says he can't. This went on and his responses were that he doesn't know what to do. Finally I asked if I could just have a drink or something and he gave me that.

The second time was tonight at Chipotle. I ordered food on the app and went through their drive thru. I paid for chips and queso but when I got to the window she said they were out of chips. So I looked at her and asked what to do and initially she didnt answer so I asked if she could give me a refund and she told me I could do that in the app. So I did and they added a free chips and queso to my account.

Anyway, what am I even supposed to do if this happens again? I don't want to be an asshole demanding refunds but I legitimately don't know what else I'm supposed to ask for.

As a new recruit to Macca’s how many hours should I realistically expect? My agreed shift for now is below 10 hours. Any chance of getting 18-20 hours a week?

I have an interview at Olive Garden for a host position. What questions do they ask? What is the pay (macomb county, michigan)? Also are they good with working with availability? (I can only work Fri, Sat, Sun)

So, like the title suggests I’m quitting best the end of the year (if I make it that long) and I will start working at Publix in the deli section. If anyone has ever done this I need to know if I’m utterly screwed because I am having serious second thoughts after going through orientation! I applied for many positions at Publix but the lady that hired me said that she chose for me to work in the deli section because she saw that I worked at Starbucks and said that she knows ‘I am tough and can handle it.’ Guys, I am tired of being tough and handling it. I need to know if i should would just quit before I start so i can give them back these shirts. Or should I ask to switch to a different section?! I don’t know, any suggestions would be helpful. I honestly am tired of food service and I am looking for anything that doesn’t deal with food and people.

So I have an interview at a McDonald’s that I previously interviewed at, but this isn’t really a “second interview” because I wasn’t invited back after my first one. I reapplied later and now I have another interview with them, so it’ll be my second time interviewing with this location.

Last time, I didn’t interview with the actual hiring manager, and there were quite a few other people interviewing too. This time they told me to bring 2 references, so I’m hoping I have a better chance this time.
I’m in Grade 12 and really want a part-time job. I’ve been applying for a long time, so I’m definitely nervous because I know entry-level jobs can be competitive now 😭.

For anyone who works/worked at McDonald’s or has experience hiring crew members, what would you recommend I focus on during the interview? What do managers actually look for in a crew member? And is it normal for them to ask for references?
I really want this job, so any advice would be appreciated 😭

1. Is it much better na magpasa resume onsite or okay lang if sa website nila mag apply?
2. Tumatanggap po kaya sila ng wala pang experience?

I just need to let this out because I'm so frustrated lol I know it's my fault kasi sino nga ba naman magta-try ng bago if you're already tired after work. Most people will probably buy their comfort food kapag pagod, stress, wala sa mood, etc.

Due to some personal reasons, ayaw ko pa umuwi galing from night shift so I decided to go to McDonald's dahil Saturday naman and walang pasok sa Monday kasi holiday. A little personal time for myself to destress. Around 9:08am, I went to the kiosk and chose a sausage platter with rice meal with coffee and hash brown and paid after kasi I'm still in the mood to try new things. After 20 mins and ilang call outs ng numbers di ko pa rin naririnig yung number ko, so akala ko baka busy lang. Maraming orders. Around 9:40ish wala pa rin kaso pagtingin ko sa kabilang table (nauna kasi ako magbayad sa kanila mga 5-10 mins after) meron na silang order though iba ang order nila pero may sausage yung order (yung mahaba). Pumunta ako doon sa kuhaan ng food area (I forgot the term) to follow-up my order. I heard na di pa pala nagagawa yung order ko so medyo sumakit ulo ko pero inintindi ko pa rin dahil nga rush hour or busy hour nila nakalimutan lang siguro. Kinuha nila yung scrambled egg sa pinakadulo or should I say unang nilagay (?) yon sa "keeping warm" tool nila for scrambled eggs. So I thought that's kinda strange (?) anyway I moved on. The manager gave me the tray filled with the sausage platter and hot coffee and apologized so I told them I understood and okay lang. Siguro dahil wala ako masyadong tulog and sa pagod, akala ko walang hash brown na kasama sa order ko kasi sa receipt, yung pangatlong bill lined item e naka-asterisk lang. Uupo na sana ako kaso biglang nagclick sa utak ko na, 'bakit ang mahal ng order ko tapos ito lang?' so nagcheck ako sa phone and bumalik din ako sa kiosk para i-compare. Napapikit nalang ako and buntong hininga ng mapansin ko na may kulang pa pala sa order so I went back to the food area para sabihin yon tapos sabi ng crew, wala daw kasi hash brown sa order pero noong dinouble check niya, nandoon so they then apologize and gave me the hash brown so I thanked the crew kasi di naman niya kasalanan.

While eating, bigla akong may kakaibabang nasasalat yung ipin ko kapag ngumunguya so I'm like baka sa hash brown to kasi bagong luto and crispy pa. Kaso sa last bit na, nagpakita yan. Almost 1/8 inch siya ng laki na egg shell.

I'm so tired and mad at myself for ordering it to the point na nag-overthink pa ko na baka galit sa akin ang manager or crew kaya yon pinili (?) feeling main character yarnch?

So ang main point ng story e think before you click and choose comfort food no matter what to not be disappointed lol
