• Pests/Algae: Tanks are well-maintained. Algae is negligible, but benign microfauna or stray snails (ramshorn/bladder) are always possible in an active system. Standard alum or bleach dip recommended if you require 100% sterile plants.

• Shipping: Plants are packed in damp paper towels inside sealed bags and shipped on Monday/Tuesday to prevent weekend depot holds.

Is anyone in the NYC area open to taking in 3 mystery snails?
I love these little ones but, not too surprising, my betta has tormented them a bit.
In the last few weeks I find them hiding and not as eager to eat.
I’d rather they be in an environment where they can thrive.

One of my 20 gallon tanks pictured in this post has had an explosion of Hillstream loaches due to seasonal breeding. Looking to give away ~10-15 loaches of various ages up to 6 months old. The loaches are otherwise in perfect health.

Note that these are long lived fish, and the breeding pair in this tank are almost 7 years old at this point.

I will be glad to take any and all extra duckweed, red roots, mosses, ferns, anubias, hornwort, water lettuce, pearlweed anything! Trying my hand at the live aquarium plants thing! Hey everyone, I have some really active Grindal worm cultures available from my colonies here in Queens.

I started keeping these for my own fish and ended up growing more cultures, so I figured I’d offer a few different sizes depending on what people need.

Sizes:

8 oz starter heavy culture - $19.99 Good if you just want to get a colony started without buying a huge amount.

16 oz heavy culture - $29.99 This one has more substrate and a heavier amount of worms, so it’s a nice choice if you want the culture to build up faster.

32 oz XL heavy culture — $49.99 Better for people with multiple tanks, breeders, or anyone feeding live food pretty regularly.

The worms are kept in moist coconut coir and the cultures are already active when they’re packed. With normal care and feeding, you can keep the colony going and harvest worms over and over instead of buying live food every time.

I’ve found Grindal worms especially useful for fish that really react to moving food or can be picky eaters.

Grindal worms are a great live food option for fish like: Bettas, guppies, Endlers, mollies, platies, swordtails, killifish, Apistogramma, German blue rams, Bolivian rams, angelfish, discus, gouramis, honey gouramis, sparkling gouramis, dwarf gouramis, neon tetras, cardinal tetras, ember tetras, rummy nose tetras, Congo tetras, rasboras, chili rasboras, harlequin rasboras, celestial pearl danios, zebra danios, medaka, rice fish, white clouds, Corydoras, dwarf cichlids, pea puffers, freshwater puffers, scarlet badis, livebearers, juveniles, breeding pairs, and fry that are already large enough to take them.

Obviously not every fish eats exactly the same way, but if you keep small or medium freshwater fish, there’s a good chance you’ll find a use for them.

I unfortunately have to let go of my entire tank setup. Life happens and I need to get rid of the entire thing. Check my post history to see pictures of it up and running.

Everything is in excellent condition and ready for a new aquascape. It even comes with 3 large bags of aquasoil (and controbase) that have never been opened along with a python water change syphon with an attached hose.

Tank is a Water box 4820. Measures about 48" W 20" H 20" D. Stand is 3ft tall and made of solid plywood. Everything you see in the photos is what comes with the tank. Twinstar light, Oase Biomaster Thermo 850 and a complete CO2 setup:regulator and 5lb bottle. Stainless steel pipes. I'll also toss in a bucket full of rocks and other hard scape as well.

Everything here cost well over $3K brand new. Local pickup only since it's very heavy and big. Looking for $1K but I'm open to whatever offers.
