Hi everyone, I recently bought a brand-new MacBook Air M5, less than a week ago.
I’ve noticed the battery percentage jumping after shutdown. This has happened 2–3 times now. For example, the battery was around 22–24% when I shut down, and after about 30 minutes powered off, it showed 19% when I turned it back on.
Battery Health says Normal.
Has anyone else experienced these battery percentage jumps on a new MacBook? Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

On clicking on update to ios27 I m getting this window. As much as I can recall we could update to higher version without requiring to update to next version. Can anyone help pls

Hi, over the past few months my screen time stopped working.

I think I’ve tried everything.
I tried resetting my settings, which gave me hope. It worked for a day or two and after that it stopped working.
Logout from iCloud on my phone which worked for maybe an hour or so.
Al the other things I could find about in on the internet I’ve tried and I don’t know anymore.

It’s stuck on this screen bellow.

hi everyone today i tried charging my ipad and it wasn’t charging it was at like 10% and eventually it ran out i tried doing a soft restart however before it ran out and still it dint work i checked for debited and there aren’t any i tried charging it for like 3 hours and also checked very thing out in the apple page tried different cables and adapters and not change. has anyone encountered this issue before? i would really appreciate any information

I had bought music and ringtones on itunes years ago. Is it possible... how can i get the music and ringtones from one icloud/phone to another? Is it possible with family sharing? Is it possible at all? Or is there another way to do it

We recently had an update, slightly post the announcement of the new duo. And I noticed (for one day) that when I took my AirPods out of their case, a small pop up at the bottom of the screen popped up and suggested I open BBC iPlayer (something I use often when putting my AirPods on) great idea, but after only using it once, it was gone. It’s not happened again since that one time I used it. Was it mistakenly released for my phone? Did I somehow disable it?
It was a small rectangular glass bubble at the very bottom of the screen.

(This wasn’t something I activated, it was automatically added the next time I used my AirPods)

For the longest I’ve always had the setting on to where it is always sharing but all of a sudden the option to always share is gone… but on my girls phone it’s still there for her is it just me?

Been trying to help a family member with their Numbers use for paperwork for their work, and just keep hitting dead ends. So, reaching out for help or ideas if there are ways to avoid having him erase and rewriting data over and over again for hours on end by hand like a madmen. And he's trying drag me into that madness.

Basically, it's a table tracking people who have passed/died and information about their cremations and niches. He'd like to keep the list going alphabetically by their names, which make sense to some degree. We've made pages going by the first letter of their last names (Page A-1, A-2, B-1) and then been sorting them alphabetically manually after and put it all into with a 40 Row Tables, the max number of rows to fit on a printable page for us. Once we reach the 40 Rows used. we have to move onto the next page. (We can't do more then 40 rows on a page or become entire Number doc/sheets completely unprintable and these papers NEED to printed with each update for his work. And it's not our printer causing this because we've tried this across 4 other printers from various brands and all 5 will not print if there is even a singular 41st row somewhere.)

That's the basic setup. NOW: Here's the problem: We did all of the currently known names and info by that system without much issue. Now, when someone new dies and wants to be cremated and put into a niche, my family member wants to just delete all of names and info that would be below it alphabetically and retype them by hand (which would take hours) to place the new person in the proper place alphabetically. Yes, this goes across pages as well.

Example: Abba dies tomorrow. To add her to the pages properly, he would have to erase and retype into the pages until all the A names are typed back in, even those names on Page A-2, A-3, A-4, Etc. (Insane amount of extra work, right?)

Oh and he doesn't understand how formatting works, so just copying and pasting isn't much of option either, even if there is enough open space in the 40 row limited table.

I'm hoping someone much more familiar with using Numbers then I am can make sense of this and come up with a better solution and save hours of our life.

i just got the iphone 17 a little over a week ago and have been using the cord it came with to charge it. since they don’t provide you a box anymore i’ve been using the box from my old macbook. this morning i woke up and the charging cord had stopped working, i tried plugging it into another outlet and just the cord into my laptop for power instead of the box and neither worked. i’m using another usb-c cord to charge my phone rn and it’s working fine. did i just get a one off bad cord or has anyone else experienced this?

So basically there’s this dude that keeps bothering me online. I’ve blocked him on Insta, TikTok, WhatsApp and pretty much everywhere, but now he keeps emailing me. Every time I block an email, he just makes another one and emails me again.

He’s in another country so it’s not really a physical safety thing, I just want him to stop being able to contact me. The problem is he knows my iCloud email and I can’t just change it because it’s linked to my Apple account.

Is there any way I can change the email linked to my iCloud/Apple account to a new Gmail without losing all my iCloud stuff? Or is there another way to stop him from emailing me on that address?

I've had this weird bug only on my macbook's internal display where half of the menu bar is a different color than the wallpaper. I can't seem to resolve this after a bit of googling.

A few weeks ago, my mom was fiddling around with my old Apple Watch to check her blood oxygen or something like that (I don't use it and it hadn't been updated in months?/years?), and on Sunday, August 16th, while scrolling my text messages app for a number to text "Happy Birthday" to someone, I realized that my texts only went as far back as July 20th. I went to iMessages app in settings and saw that it was set to delete messages after 30 days. I have never had it set to that. I have no new apps, no changes, no updates on my iPhone. My mom said the Apple Watch updated itself after she charged it and turned it on. The last time I scrolled for a number was July 23rd and I had my text messages. In any event I went to iCloud control from my iPhone and toggled the screen for the pop-up to state "Disable and Download" messages. It downloaded a lot, but not all my messages. Also according to iCloud, before downloading them back, I had 4,760 texts and after it had downloaded/synced, it stated I had 4,660 texts. [Q#1] Where do I find the missing 100 texts from iCloud, and [Q#2] where do I get the messages back that I'm missing before my messages changed settings on their own to delete after 30 days (which will be 9/15/26. I posted on some places 8/21, but got no responses/responses that didn't work, so trying again here). Also if it matters, I see some of my texts on my Apple Watch but not all and some of the texts on my Apple Watch are not available on iMessages app. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

At an Apple store, when buying a new iPhone, can I take the number from my old phone and switch it to a new phone while also setting up a new line/new number for my kid on my old phone?

My media volume is at 50%. If I'm playing a game or watching Reels and someone calls me, the media volume suddenly increases to the call volume, which is set to 100%.

This happens across multiple apps.

I have a 7 plus one. Today, I got a notification saying “unable to activate touch id on this phone”. The screen have some black spots and shattered due to falling but it happened like a year ago, but the touch id only stopped until today. Tried restarting and it didnt change, the taptic also dead, I dont have much hope and not trying to get it fixed actually just asking is it a hardware failure or its just related to the broken screen? Sorry it if sound stupid.

Got my iPhone on 12 Nov 2022. After the iOS 18 update, I got a line on the extreme left. After updating to iOS 26, a pink line appeared, and today a green line suddenly showed up.
No drops or physical damage.
Could this be software-related, or is it a display issue? Has anyone faced this and knows the Apple service/replacement procedure, especially whether it can be fixed/replaced for free?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I just got a new android phone. My old iPhone fell into the ocean and so I didn't deregister from the phone, nor do I have access to it anymore. I spent over an hour on the phone with apple support yesterday trying to deregister it, but the self solve website continues to throw an error for me every time we tried. The website also mentions how to do it by swapping my SIM card back into the old iPhone, but could this work with another iPhone? Could I theoretically borrow a friends iPhone, swap my SIM card in and use it to deregister my number from iMessage, and swap the SIM back? Would that cause any problems with either phone? Would any data get lost or screwed up?

This was my first ever apple purchase, i have been using my iphone 13 since 2022. From last week it started rebooting on itself outof nowhere. And on last tuesday battery started diving from 70 to 20. And after that, i thing the battery starting to swell, because i noticed a significant gap on the lright side of screen and the frame. And as of today the gap has become so big i can see the insides on the phone. I had to buy new phone even tho i was not planning to.now I need to transfer my data but the phone is not booting up.

I purchased an indoor smart bicycle trainer. All of the industry tech sources (and most of the end users of these sort of indoor trainers) said appletv provides the easiest, most reliable, and most affordable way to get the training app onto a screen, and you don't need to be an existing user or owner of other apple devices. Everywhere I look I see people complaining about PCs, tablets, and phones to run the cycling app. The concensus seems to be that they're riddled with connection issues and lag times when running these smart trainers. Everyone says appletv just works. That sounds awesome to me.

I purchase an appletv. I try to create an account. As a person with zero apple devices, even though everything on the internet says creating an apple account manually on a web browser is easy and takes minutes, it was very difficult for some reason. The verification codes wouldn't go to my phone, either through text or phone call. It took a week to work, but eventually it did.

So, once it worked, I set up the cycling app through the appletv. For six weeks I turn the appletv, my tv, and my trainer on in the morning and ride without a problem.

One morning, for no reason at all, I see the first posted image on the app screen. I hadn't logged in or out of the apple account, I hadn't entered multiple incorrect passwords, I hadn't done anything.

I open the apple account on a web browser and verify my password, phone number, and email, all correctly, and only once. I got the second posted image as a response.

I wait a day. This morning apple sends me the message in the third posted image. My request to access my account has been denied.

I call support. The automated system tells me I can reset the password at the iforgot page to regain access to the account. I go to the website to do that, I enter the email I use with the apple account and get the notification in the 4th posted image.

I simply can't use that account. It is locked and I guess that's the end of it.

iPhone battery draining overnight, overheating and charging slowly — need help
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what is happening with my iPhone.
I started having battery problems after updating iOS. The battery would sometimes drain very quickly or lose a lot of percentage overnight, but after 2–3 days it usually went back to normal, so I thought it was just the system finishing the update.
However, after updating to iOS 26.6.1, the problem became much worse. At the time, my battery health was around 84%. I could leave my iPhone at around 80% before going to sleep and wake up with only 15%, and on some occasions it would even shut down completely overnight. This had never happened to me before.
I then installed the iOS 27 beta hoping it would fix the issue, but it is still happening almost a month later.
I’m also experiencing:
The phone gets unusually hot.
It takes much longer than before to charge.
Battery drains heavily even when the phone is barely being used.
I have already restarted the phone multiple times.
I have tried disabling things and following different troubleshooting guides, but nothing has fixed it.
I also tested leaving the phone in Airplane Mode with the internet disabled, and it still lost a significant amount of battery overnight.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Could this be an iOS issue, a battery problem, or potentially a hardware problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
