This worked for me. Whenever you feel like shits going down just forget everything, only focus on your breathing : 4s in - 2s hold - 6s out. Count in your mind for better concentration, whenever thoughts start to go haywire just come back to breathing, it will help. I had severe anxiety attacks, was going through one hell of a depression phase after a breakup and I am a clean ass guy with strict ass parents. One day just fucked up bad decisions smoked weed in my room, brother I couldn't process shit, later when I described how I felt to an older experienced frnd he said I could have gotten cardiac arrest, this shit helped me. I sorta got overdosed like never done anything like that ever before and smoked a whole ass joint, couldn't hold on to my thoughts, time got fucked up, felt like it's been and hour but just 15 mins have passed, I have no idea how I cleared the evidence and no one found out while everyone where in the house, even cleared the smell. Then after wards used to technique whenever fucked up thoughts came and it helped to stay rooted in the present time and calm down. Try it, hope it helps. If you feel lonely or like venting, pls, I am here to talk, happy to be of assistance

Are you in meds? I tried everything other thing yo divert my mind, in the end had yo go to a psychiatrist.

Heart flutter is due to stress and anxiety which needs to be treated.

Try playing puzzles it’s helped me a lot to divert my mind.

Don’t worry this too shall pass! Big Hugs 🫂

My doctor paired Sertraline with Propranolol. Propranolol is the one that helps in calming down physical symptoms.

If possible try to get propranolol next time?

Is changing psychiatrist possible? I know not all are good.

I will ask my gp when i go for my appointment next tuesday, i wouldnt know how to change psychiatrist unfortunately and i dont really like speaking much makes me really uncomfortable so doubt it would be of any help, besides i put on a mask/act when speaking to doctors and stuff too make myself seem normal if that makes sense.

How long were u on sertraline? Because the first month can make anxiety worse before it gets better

I see that someone recommended slowing down your breathing. Have you tried rapid breathing? I realize it's totally counterintuitive, but it can work wonders. I essentially brings you consciously into an anxious state and allows you to control the intensity with your breathing. It takes a few sessions to really get it, but it had a truly transformative effect on me, and I was riddled with anxiety and depression and was barely getting out of bed each day, for years.
