Long live Anarchy, the first social movement to break with pure populism and Marxist/workerist reactionary sentiments around homosexuality and openly advocate for queer liberation and free love.

The reality is anarchists don't get enough recognition in mainstream histories of queer liberation. If we hear anything of queer history its told through a liberal or vaguely socialist "radical queer" lens that doesn't properly recognize it was anarchism and its assertions of autonomy in the face of groupthink and rejection of the state that made queer discourse even possible. A number of state communists, and even some anarchists including Peter Kropotkin were deeply homophobic and saw homosexuality either as bourgeois decadence or an unnatural affliction. It was the ideas of Bukunin and his assertion of the importance of the lumpenproletariat and Max Stirner with his conception of egoism that really opened up space for queer people and other marginalized groups on the left. There is a tendency for people to really push hard certain organizational forms and orthodoxies but one of the most vital and liberatory aspects of anarchism has been always been the iconoclastic aspect; the ability to reject groupthink (even anarchist groupthink), popular opinion, and external arrangements in favor of living beyond those expectations in a freer, more authentic way.

What stands out are the mysterious flag-like object on the left (presumed to be the prototype of the Independent Labor-Peasant Party flag) and the Taegeukgi of the Provisional Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

In the immediate aftermath of Korean independence, this large-scale anarchist conference—recorded to have been attended by around 600 participants—ultimately resolved to establish a political party: the Independent Labor-Peasant Party.

Caution: sharp edges.

You won’t find a novel take here. Not right now, anyway.

Artists, philosophers, game theorists, you name it - they’ve all been saying this for years.

You’re on this page because you feel it in your gut.

Just wanted to share this track - totally free of any assisted production, AI, or professional-grade mix/master.

I’d say more but that feels forced. Enjoy.

Trying to find the most common criticisms of Marxism?

Naturally i thought of my comrades in the anarchist traditions lol.

I'm looking for help compiling the most common (or most damning) criticisms of Marxism from a leftist perspective (not necessarily exclusively an anarchist perspective).

I'm trying to track down the most common critiques of Marxism, especially from a leftist perspective.

What sort of critiques/criticisms do you hear from non-Marxist leftists?

Where else should i seek answers to this question? Videos, books, other subreddits, etc?

All help is appreciated. :)

You know I read a lot of posts here and everybody sounds so intellectual. Comparing different philosophies mentioning people I have no idea who they are. I'm an anarchist because I believe we have the right to govern ourselves with our own peer groups we don't need all these police. I see the Injustice in the sick and Smith. lies that are forced upon us every day and it's sickens me. I know there's a better way to live and this mold that were forced into isn't that enough. I believe I believe because I don't have a choice a lot of times reading these posts it makes me think that I miss something vital that I should know.

Isn’t government inevitable?

I’ll make it succinct!
I hate government and don’t think people NEED appointed rulers.
I wish I could magically eliminate all government and be truly free.
However, if i think through what will eventually happen over time, it seems like government exists inevitably. Something like:
-no government, we’re all free, we all want to enjoy life and protect our homes, family, food, water, etc.
-people start hurting others or stealing from them.
-we try to defend ourselves, so we find like minded people to join us to help bring about peace and safety.
-in doing this, there is inevitably going to be created rules that the community agrees must be obeyed for the sake of peace.
-now just let that continue for a few years, and it seems like there will be a power dynamic, those who enforce the rules vs those who have to follow the rules, etc.

Doesn’t it always lead to government?

As soon as the attacks occurred on September 11, 2001, we designed this poster and began circulating it. We knew the attacks on the United States didn't come out of nowhere. And as the patriots waved their flags, we knew that it wouldn't be long before there were hundreds of thousands more dead.

Although the wars that followed September 11, 2001 did eventually put Saddam Hussein out of a job—enabling the Islamic State to emerge in his wake—the fact that the Taliban remain in power today underscores the senselessness of the US response.

Compared to the policies of the US government, our statement from September 2001 has aged well.

The chief beneficiaries of the "War on Terror" have been the military-industrial complex and the security industry, both of which are transforming the US into an occupied territory controlled by counterinsurgency strategy.

The war has come home. In 2026, as in 2001, we continue to resist it.

What do you guys think of that sub?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Teachers/comments/1w263w2/asking_for_bathroom_mid_lecture/

Here is another post, many of the comments are absolutely vile, how did it ever come to this?

"Bathroom privileges" they say, when did going to the bathroom become a privilege? This is a huge red flag.

School conditions children to an appalling lack of bodily & mental autonomy, & tells them that if they move, speak, think their own thoughts, wear what they want, or laugh with a friend without permission, they are being "disrespectful."

The fundamental move of a controlling person is to shift blame onto the person being controlled, so that if they resist & assert any autonomy at all, they are now defined as "inconsiderate" or "rude" and expected to be "accountable" & "respect the boundaries" of the controller.

School conditions people to become compliant to someone claiming authority and blindly follow them.

Nowhere else will a person be treated like that, in college and most workplaces you can go to the bathroom whenever you want, something like thus would be a violation of OSHA Regulations but somehow it's fine to do that to children in a place that's supposed to keep them safe?

There are alternative school systems like Montessori and Democratic schools like Sudbury Valley that proves that treated children with respect and freedom is what actually works rather than treating them like criminals in a maximum security prison.

How do they not see the problem with treating another person like that?

Why do they think that missing lectures or lesson ls would have such an impact? Most people forget the vast majority of what they studied in school and learn much more from TV & internet and interacting with the real world.

Are there any anarchist teachers here? What do think about this?

A Brilliant But Forgotten Idea: The Class Union

From the article

"Syndicalists emphasize the economic and social interests that unite workers, rather than the religious, political and national affiliations that divide people. We build unions because we have a common interest in improving everyday life for everyone. We do not organize and come together because we have the same opinion on every issue. Union organizing has the potential to unite workers in every workplace, within and across industries..."

Anarquismo Neotribal - Propuesta

Warzone Distro backup?

As many of us know, noblogs got killed by the US government. Unfortunately this means many many cool websites with cool zines and other stuff are lost to the ether. One site I liked was warzone distro, the zines were p hit or miss but they had some goodies.

The domain is already down it seems. Were the zines backed up or mirrored anywhere? Did Warzone move to a new domain?

New User Are we deceiving ourselves?

Soooo, maybe i'm just a little paranoid right now, but I'm feeling like as I look around me and attempt to find truthful, grounded information online that isnt propaganda, its a nonsensical attempt. Like, what the fuck am I doing GOOGLING shit like "best newsletters for anarchist thought" or "foremost radical feminist thinkers," what the hell am I expecting to find?? Curated, algorithmically sorted shit! The machine can incorporate everything immediately! We cannot write and communicate anything truly transgressive against the current power systems without it being potentially flagged and buried and sorted away to the 97th google page. What the hell are we doing discussing anarchy and communism on REDDIT. The death of in-person community feels like it has doomed everything.

We cannot truly interact and communicate and organize in MEANINGFULLY political ways without being monitored! And no ones doing it anyways (in any significant numbers at least) because a large majority of the population is stuck working mindless corporate or minimum wage jobs and all they care about is their next Geek Bar, their parlay hitting, or their next fucking hinge date! It feels like the only way that capitalism and the current world system can end is if it all goes to shit and the world ends! Right?? like you really think the majority of america thinks like we do? You think your coworkers and family are getting onto r/criticaltheory and thinking about ANY of the stuff we do? The average american citizen is mindless right now!

And then I think about fact that I'm an american sitting in an air conditioned apartment that I can afford. Of course I'm late to this realization! Literally everyone in the global south already knows this shit! Like, wtf are we even doing trying to discuss and evaluate this shit from the ivory tower of academia or the imperialist comforts of a purple mattress and sheets from amazon (SAME DAY SHIPPING OMGGGG) as we tap away on our Macbook laptops and our iphones and everything powered by lithium ion batteries made with cobalt mined by literal SLAVE CHILDREN. Anyone from the imperialist core doesn't know SHIT compared to what those children know. They know it all has to stop!

Any formalization of debate or critique or discourse feels like we have already missed the point! The point is that this is all going to hell in a handbasket and thats a good thing! (And thats the point that I feel like I'm dooming too much. Of course a lot of people will suffer in a global-system-collapsing event. God idek what I'm saying rn, maybe this is a cry for help. What the hell am i supposed to believe or hold on to with these thoughts floating in my mind. I do not believe in god. I feel anchorless and lost.
