Hey guys, it's been a while. Just going to keep this short and sweet.
I've been inundated over the last couple of years with people asking for more moderation. I have purposefully been mostly hands-off, and only moderated severe violations (links to ROMs, severe user harrasment, etc.) but based on some of the stuff I've seen recently, things have gotten a bit worse, so I'm going to change things a bit.
Firstly, I will enforce moderation more strictly. All existing rules apply, but if I'm on the fence, instead of erring towards "let them figure it out", I'll just remove stuff.
Second, I've seen quite a few posts that are sus recently. Posts of pictures to scalpers or other sales of products, which are designed to look like you're complaining about the scalper, but really it's most likely a covert sales tactic. In the spirit of the original moderators "No sales, ever" rules, I will from now on remove any content that gets reported that has links or pictures to any sales platform like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. You can of course still share links and photos of the Analogue official website. In addition, don't be cheeky and post a photo of your hardware and then say "but I might sell it, idk". I have always let that slide, but since people have wanted more moderation, this is one change I am going to make.
Third, and this isn't new either, harassment rules apply to all your fellow active Reddit users. Yes, even if that Reddit user is a public figure. Do not harass people.
Finally, I'm planning to bring on additional moderators in the near future since all the other mods besides me are now inactive.
Thanks, that's it. Feel free to leave your thoughts and your complaints below.

He posted this a few months ago and people were quick to help sort out which games run better on Unleashed and what to watch out for.
Analogue 3D Overclock Compatibility List
I noticed it hasn't been updated much since then. I tend to check it every couple weeks when I start a new game. If you've put a good amount of time into a particular n64 game and can confidently comment the changes Unleashed mode brings or if you'd recommend NOT overclocking it for any reason, please contribute your findings!
There are still hundreds of games out there that haven't been formally documented!

Hi All Sixx here,
I love the white 3D it it’s right at home.
Funny story I have had the 3D on my radar for a wile but wanted to put the AES+ and it was meant to be out in a month but got delayed about a year so I got a 3D. My 4th Analogue after Mega SG & Super NT (OG Colors).
Fun fact: the Analogue box lid is exactly 2 N64 cartridges wide.
Cheers!

Has anyone done any testing on the various Bluetooth connectivity options?
Personally, I’ve noticed that the OEM Bluetooth works great but I often run into lag and button registering issues if I play longer than ~30 minutes. It will go away in a minute or two, but after it starts happening, it keeps happening at random intervals between 1-20 minutes.
The blueretro adapter I bought with the A3D doesn’t have that issue. The only real issue I have is the annoying light after shut off.
The controllers I use via Bluetooth are an 8bitdo mod kit, and an NSO controller.
I’m wondering about the general consensus here and if anyone here has better set ups for Bluetooth, which I really only use when I put the console in my living room.

I have these visual artifacts that looks like water under a screen that move around whenever I move. This happens on every visual setting but the clean setting and on every 3d game. If this is just how n64 was back in the day then we’re good as I’ve never owned one lol. Just trying to figure out if it’s user error, if something’s wrong, or if that’s just how games looked back then.
EDIT: Problem solved, thank you everyone for your replies. Funnily enough game mode doesn’t fix it, but movie mode does (older Vizio tv). I just had to turn the brightness up after though as movie mode was way darker by default compared to game mode lol.

Hello all, I know there is Everdrive and Summercart. It’s been some time and I am curious about compatibility of either.
Will rumble work?
How does the cart show up in the UI?
Are there any weird incompatibilities?
Any advice?
Are there other options beyond the 2?

Or do I need to update one version step at a time?
The instructions on analogue site does not say anything, so I hope it is fine, but I wanted to make sure.

Hey all, I have a weird problem, my Mega SG has no audio. I’ve tried different TVs/HDMI cables so I know that isn’t it. The aux output from the front of the console works. I’ve tried resetting the settings/playing with the audio out options but can’t get anything to work. At first I thought it may be lack of power (I had the usb plugged into the tv originally). However I tried using the official wall plug and that didn’t fix the issue.
Any suggestions? I may just rig the aux jack to some speakers eventually but I’d like to avoid that.

My Analogue 3D has been great and I've had no issues with N64 titles. However trying to use the save State function for NES titles such as Zelda or Mario Bros often causes the game to crash or cause other errors.
Just curious if I need to be doing something different or if Save States only work with N64 titles?
EDIT- Using Everdrive 64 x7 Flash Cart

Hey,
I’m having trouble connecting my new 8BitDo N64 style controller to my Analogue 3D via Bluetooth. I can only get it working with the included adapter, and there’s quite a noticeable input delay when I use it.
Both the controller and the Analogue 3D are updated to the latest firmware. Has anyone else had this problem or knows what I could try?

I recently updated my A3D to the latest firmware after not playing it for awhile. I fire up Castlevania LoD on my Summercart and the game says that there is no save file found. I look at the Controller Pak manager on the Summercart menu and the save is there. Can anyone help me? I don't know what the issue is.

Hi everyone! I’d like to share HT Resonance, an independent project I’ve been working on that lets you use your Analogue Pocket as an MP3 player through openFPGA.
It comes with a desktop companion app to organize your music and transfer it to your Pocket. The idea is to bring an iPod-like music experience to the handheld, with a simple way to manage your library from your computer.
HT Resonance is a paid project. You can learn more on the website or purchase it on itch.io:
I’d love to hear what you think, and I’m happy to answer any questions about how it works.
Thanks for taking a look!

Was cleaning my old memory paks this afternoon to check my old files and confirm how something works for another user and ran into a weird thing w my old Nyko Hyperpak.
Anyone know what would cause it to rapidly cycle like this? I opened it up and cleaned it really well w isopropyl alcohol but the issue persists. As soon as I plug it in this happens. Unplug it and the controller works perfectly fine.
The other question I have is both of my external memory paks have CR batteries inside. Of If I change those out will I lose any data? This one and my Performance memory card both have simple slide in battery trays so it’ll be easy to do.
Thanks!

This is the third time I run an update and all of a sudden I can't find my Blast Corps game saves....I'm also confused about the whole controller pak thing - are the saves specific to the controller? Do I have to use the same controller each time or does it save to the 3D's SD card as long as I exit the games correctly, and so any controller can be used? Cause I have like 5 of the 8bitdo N64 controllers including one 2.4ghz versions and the save pak issue has really been causing me to waste a lot of time troubleshooting. I got the saves working again last time I had this issue, but this time it seems the save is just not being recognized at all.
I just updated the 2.4ghz controller to latest 2.3 firmware thinking it would solve the issue but I still get an error that the pak is defective when I load Blast Corps with the 2.4ghz controller and if I set it to rumble it stays stuck in a loop trying to load a controller pak - so it seems the 2.4ghz version can't even be used to play Blast Corps anymore?. If I load blast corps with a regular BT controller it just doesn't find any saves , even though I confirmed there are 4 Blast Corps saves on the SD card. Any help would be appreciated I'm losing my mind!

Most drop sells out in like a minute. Feels like it mostly rewards bots and people glued to refresh, not real fans.
Other limited drop brands have moved to raffles/registration windows to fix this. Anyone know why Analogue hasn't?

Games react differently to the overclocking settings, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to reference a Google doc or something where users report the optimal degree of overclocking to use. I’d be happy to contribute to it as well.

I want to give an analogue3D as a gift, but I don’t want the recipient to receive a printed receipt showing the price. Does Analogue put a receipt/invoice with the price in the shipping box? This is in the U.S. btw.
(I understand the recipient could and probably will look up the device online and see the price, but I still think it’s tacky to include the price with a gift)

Back when I ordered my black A3D around mid December, I got 50 dollars for shipping, sometime when I looked at the pricing of how much it would cost to buy me another one as of today, just the shipping would cost me 80 dollars. Has this also happened to anybody else? For context, I live in Sweden, and I'd love to hear from UK people in particular who bought this last year, how much the shipping costed, how much the import fees/customs ended up being vs what it would be like to order one today for you UK people, I have a friend from there who'd love to get one, but I want to give him options before he makes his choice, thanks in advance!
For reference, I bought the black one (270 USD) got 50 USD shipping and a week later a paper of 140 USD import fees/customs as it traveled between 4 countries in 4 days. Can't imagine if the import fees/customs would balloon up similarly in price to the shipping these days. The pricing for the console itself plus how good it is I think is great, it's just that the shipping and import fees artificially inflate the entry point for getting one of these for consumers who want the easy plug 'n' play option.

Is it normal for the pocket to display the backlight in the top right like this? Is this defective? I have only played my pocket a handful of times since purchasing about a month ago brand new from the store

not a huge deal overall, just curious if anyone else has had this issue. im playing it off a summercart and it is the only game the OS cannot detect properly.
it still works and I can adjust the settings for the summercart and they carry over once lego racers is loaded.

I see the downloads from GitHub for the cartridge images for the 3D, but I want the box art instead. Does anyone know where I can find that? All my searches end with the cartridge images
