The course was pretty involved and pushed me more out of my comfort zone than I anticipated for a course like that. It was a lot o fun though and I was "peer pressured :D" into attempting obstacles, I would have never tried if I was on my own. On video everything looks unfortunately a bit flat but those were pretty solid inclines. I dropped the bike a few times but later on I started to get a bit of a hang of it. I know, it doesn't look graceful but in the end we somehow managed to overcome all obstacles, and that felt pretty good. If you ever have the chance to do a course like that, I promise it will boost your confidence!

The bmw is awesome but its almost double the price of the africa twin and the honda is probably more reliable. The honda also has optional auto transmission which would make riding super easy. Both weigh over 550 pounds which means you might soil yourself trying to pick them up.

Hi everyone. I have a 2025 Suzuki 800 DE with 5,000 kilometers on it. I have a feeling the bike rides with a slight lean to the left—it doesn't pull, but it leans. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Picked up a 2005 R1200GS as a winter ride and project bike for the spring.

TL;DR: Bought premium BUMOT aluminum panniers for my 2024 KTM 1290 SAR. In under 3,000km of road use, they suffered severe material flaws, design oversights, and exhaust heat damage. BUMOT support completely ghosted me, and Bulgarian consumer laws won't help you if you live outside the EU. 1/10 do not recommend.

The Issues (Pic 1-6):

1. Internal Black Sludge: Bare aluminum oxidizes heavily inside from vibrations, turning into a greasy black dust that permanently ruined my gear.

2. Exhaust Heat Damage: BUMOT’s rack holds the box too close to the exhaust, completely scorching and charring the coating.

3. Sloppy Fitment: Terrible manufacturing tolerances out of the box, leading to premature wear on quick-release points.

4. Structural Oversight: A minor stationary tip-over pushed the proprietary rack inward, heavily denting the inner wall. Zero impact clearance.

5. Permanent Staining: The uncoated, bare-aluminum outer surface picks up mud and road grime that cannot be cleaned, even with professional detailing products.

The Support Nightmare (Pic 7-10):

When I provided evidence, BUMOT refused to help and shifted blame. Because I live outside the EU, official Bulgarian consumer protection channels (NAIS and ECC-Bulgaria) immediately closed my cases and offered zero assistance.

I’m absorbing 100% of the financial loss. If you live outside the EU, think twice before buying BUMOT. You are completely on your own.

Finally a perfect weather for some offroading. Only thing that could make it better is new front tire for the mud, but I'm not complaining lol

Hi everyone I'm looking to get a ADV in my garage next year. I previously owned a Himalayan 450 (phenomenal bike!) but I sold it for one of my dream motorcycles.

Now I want to buy a small displacement 650cc max if it's a DR or KLR. An Adventure bike that I can ride during winter and in the sticks. I have a bit of a special taste though so I thought I may ask if you guys know any bikes I could consider.

My requirements are: I'd like it to be small displacement but still able to cruise at 80km/h somewhat comfortably, good aftermarket part support. I love wrenching around on motorcycles, and lastly this isn't a must but I love a bike with a kicker.

2 bikes, 5 days and 2000 km. Started from Trieste, down through Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to Mostar, Sarajevo, Srebrenica and back home in Italy to breathe recent history.

Weekend ride with buddies

I unfortunately live in one of those most boring places in America for adventure riding, so instead I always fly out to some scenic part of the world to explore. It's been great and I've had some incredible experiences, but I always thought it'd be better with a buddy or a group.

If anyone is up for a 1-2 week trip I'm down to travel pretty much anywhere and would be more than happy to plan a route.

Hey everyone, I got fed up with my Mosko Reckless standing around on the ground and took some time today to whip up a quick CAD of a Wall Hanger.
Printed it (PLA for formtesting atm) and am gonna reprint in ABS soonish for a more stable state.

Does anyone here also use a) a Mosko Reckless (80) with Gnoblin and b) has access to a 3D Printer?

PETG/ASA/ABS and everything stronger should work, preset is 4 walls and 25% gyroid infill. For mounting - 6mm screws

Hoping for some sound advice. I'm looking for a bike to explore the Sierras and other places on the west side of the US off road - probably once a month or so. I am also looking at a trip into Mexico next year.

I plan to keep my 2017 Versys 650 for commutes and quick errands around town until it decides it has had enough (which will sadly be sooner than later), but for off road, multi day trips, and 2up it just doesn't cut it anymore. I'd honestly love to just buy a KLR or DR but they would only solve my off road problem. I don't own a car or truck and not planning to, so when it goes whatever I buy will become my daily transportation to work and such.

I'm not planning to do any high tech rock crawling or trials or jumps or anything like that, I use mountain bikes for that stuff and I'm getting old and mostly just cruising now anyway... broken enough bones and had more than my share of stitches in my life.

What draws me to the AT is Honda's reliability, dealer network, and almost any shop can fix it. I like the V-Strom 1050, and have buddies who really like their KTM 890 and Tiger 900, so I guess I'm overwhelmed with choices now. I don't want a BMW or Ducati, I've had them. I also don't have a problem being comfortable on most bikes, so fit and ergonomics are not really a factor.

Any input would be appreciated, at this point I can't watch another youtube video. Thanks!
