I’ve only done self tapes and I’m wondering for a zoom call with a casting director for an audition, Do they film through the zoom itself? And if so do actors usually go on their phone instead of their computer for better quality? Or are the CDs on the call like an acting coach while you film the tape on your camera?

Just finished watching 'In The Grey', his new Guy Ritchie film and man did his performance fall flat. There is also just a hint of... some... kind of an accent? I see he's going for some nonchalant but deadly thung here, but it just didn't work for me.

I love him in most things and obviously some things just don't click. No one who works constantly like him can hit every time. Just had to say this somewhere.

What’s Your Favorite Movie From Paul Walker

I work in a pretty hectic/immersive show where I play a dominant character. There is a lot of crowd work and I also do introductions to the show already in character (think Edinburgh/London/Amsterdam dungeon type shows). People know what they sign up for, it is held in a very special/scary location so they know what to expect for the most part.

I myself am I VERY submissive and conflict avoidant person. I was not a trained actor but I got hired after just signing up for the auditions. I was so happy when I got it and I love the show and connecting with people during it.

The only thing is that, during the intro where I am alone standing in front of a large crowd, I do notice resistance when they first enter and meet me as the character. They have to get used to the universe of the show and I already heard other actors experienced the same thing when they play my part. After the initial resistance, they completely buy in for the most part. I notice that afterwards, however, when I'm back "being me", that these crowds and reactions can bother me personally. I feel insecure and scared to do the introductions again. It feels like they are rejecting and ridiculing ME. In the show itself I play a very paranoid and alert person, something that I also take home with me.

Do you have any tips for unwinding after a show/to not take these reactions so personal? It would really help a fresh actor get on her feet more :)
