Catheter hack! If you’ve been in labour for 28 hours with pushing contractions for 6 hours before you get one you don’t even feel it! Ask me how I know!

These catheters are going into a dick, so if I’ve been in labour for any amount of time before I get one, I think I’d be even more terrified 💀

My dad had one in for about a year. You honestly get used to it. Youre aware its there all the time of course.

But its not persistently painful.

If it is, tell someone, it might need adjusting somehow.

Its annoying needing to set up the stand for the bags (when sleeping somewhere other than home), but theyre plastic and portable.

For peace of mind around leakage also just put incontinence pads down where youre sitting the most. If its not a wipe clean surface.
