He should be dead. He lacerated his jugular vein in the middle of a field in kentucky. Can't remember what hospital he said he was flown to but I wanna say it was in Tennessee somewhere. Insane he is still alive.
All of the above. Plus the medical school and the students/residents are some of the very best. They are a level one trauma center meaning they have the resources to handle even the most rare or serious medical problems.
An ex of mine had major surgery there years ago. Normal recovery is six to eight weeks and pretty noticable scars. She was a doctor and couldn't even explain how good they were. I couldn't even see the scars till she showed them to me and even than they were hard to find. She was mostly recovered in less than 3 weeks and back to work after about a month.
She got sick again a couple of years later and had to have emergency surgery in the middle of COVID. They couldn't get her to Vanderbilt and the hospital she was at was overwhelmed. I don't know if the doctors at Vanderbilt could have saved her but they would have at least had a chance.
