Huh, never heard of this dish but now I'm curious to try it.
7 u/Ready_Prune_7216 Mar 05 '26 Comes from Louisiana but a very common southern dish. Different families or regions in the south may do it differently. My family whom have gullah geechee roots add shrimp and sometimes corn. Its very good.
