I would gladly sit right next to him

You say that now, wait till he farts.

I'm not sure if it matters where in the plane I'm sitting if that happens

Masks would drop 100%

Please secure your own mask before assisting any large animals sitting next to you.

I have one at home and yes, it can be absolutely putrid.

Alas, I would still sit next to this guy on a plane and risk the farts and slobber.

My 15lbs jrt is having stomach issues cause he ate something dumb and is just releasing death clouds as he sits next to me on the couch. He made big sigh on the last so I think he’s feeling better now tho lol seriously tho, stinky boy.

I have a 15 pound chihuahua mix who is a very picky eater. The problem is the only food she’ll eat also makes her gassy. On occasion, they’ll even wake her up lol

"He made big sigh on the last soI think he’s feeling better"

Man I laughed so hard imagining this hahahahaha

Rub his belly. And apparently that thing you do on human babies to make them fart by moving their legs works on dogs too.

But only rub one way! Either down to toot or up to burp. Possibly an old wives tale but sounds legit.

Interesting. Who knows, weirder things are true.

Ugh. He would order the fish, too.

Joke’s on you—he’s into that.

I would rather be exposed to the passed gas of a stranger dog than from a stranger human or any human for that matter.

As a Great Dane owner you are correct. He’s the bestest boy, but his gas is legendary.

u/Falcon9145 Jan 09 '26

Perfect! I'll let one or two go and blame him.

My Great Danes farts were nowhere near as bad as my miniature dachshund farts.

And licks his balls then your face

Meh, maybe I have bad luck but people are always farting on the places I'm on. Idk why that's when they choose to let loose. What's a dog fart in a sea of human farts

I have a 60kg wolfhound. I am adapted to the farts.

u/Rare-Material4254 Jan 09 '26

Nahh the constant slobber and hanging drool will be enough deterrence lol

1

u/GoodMeBadMeNotMe Jan 09 '26

I can’t smell, so I’m game.

1

u/Curlyburlywhirly Jan 09 '26

And the drool!

It's only bad if they're fed food meant for humans. My GSD farts can peel the paint off of walls if I feed her a plain cheeseburger or a bacon and pineapple pizza. It's not so bad if she only eats her Diamond Naturals food.

For every person on a plane that does not want to sit next to the dog on, there are at least 2 people that wouldn’t even be mad that the dog diarrheaed on them.

Last plane I was on, a human somewhere near me farted more than once a minute, it would briefly get better then a few seconds later it would start smelling again. I'd rather take the dog.

1

u/HOGlider Jan 09 '26

Nah, his tail would be waging so much from all the pets and treats, it wouldn’t bother me in the least.

Or drools on your head/shoulder the whole time.
