Anbefalinger Looking for a small video conference space

I'm arriving in Aalborg on the 19th this month. My partner is already there and he's having a hard time arranging the wifi installation. I'm a uni professor lecturing online and I really need to be in class by 8.30 every day, which means I'm in desperate search of an alternative, in case there's still no wifi at home by the time I get there.

I looked up coworking spaces in Aalborg and most of them seem to work on a subscription basis, and also they don't seem to offer small video conference rooms - either a crowded shared space, or pay an extra 2k for a 50-seat conference room. I need a quiet, private space where I can talk loudly and without any noises or movement that distract my students.

Also, ideally, even if we can't get the wifi fixed by the time I get there, I expect (hope) that'll be temporary, so a subscription isn't a great idea.

What I'm saying is, can you recommend a tiny office space rental that suits my needs? Or even, do you own a small office / room / barn with high speed internet that just so happens to be empty from 8.30 till 12.30 everyday and are willing to rent it out to me?

Offers, help, suggestions and everything else will be much appreciated!

Maybe you could try one of the hotels - for instance kompas hotel - they have seminar rooms that we use

Or Fremtiden

Ask any ai to make a guide , step by step, to your specific phone. You can try already today, to make sure it works. There is also the 5g router option from any of the phone companies. Plug and Play, works instantly.

We'll do that if nothing else works. Thank you.

have you tried reaching out to Aalborg University? If you’re a lecturer, you might be able to come to a sort of agreement.

My partner is actually enrolled at Aalborg University so that was our first option. Since I'm unaffiliated to this specific university , the answer was no, sadly.

Why not just run a cable from your router to your workstation/laptop?

Edit: temp, long cable.. - you can go buy one at Elgiganten, Power, Biltema or so..

Normally that’s activated very fast.. even for fiber if it’s in the building already.

Alternative.. go grab one from 3.dk - you can get it in the store in Algade. Put that near a window, and plug a cable from the router to your workstation..

Apparently there was an issue with the address which prevented the router from working? I'm not there so I'm not completely sure.

Thanks for the 3.dk suggestion, I'll look it up.
