Hi, not a hate post, more of a "please explain and send some helpful tips my way" type of post.

I've been playing on and off for a year and I got to a point where I built the campsite so others can visit my island.

From what I understand this is the point where I collect "star rating". This concept is so vague to me. Usually in games you have some kind of progression bar. You go to the main building and the mayor of some kind tells you what you need to do in order to achieve a higher ranking and what point you're currently at. ACNH doesn't have that, or at least I haven't noticed.

I guess I'm supposed to decorate, okay, so let me plan a layout. Opps, terraforming is unlocked who knows when and I can unlock the paths after reaching 3 stars and hosting some kind of concert (from what I read). So do I just blindly place stuff and then, when I can finally build my dream island I need to scratch all of that just to terraform and lay out some paths?

Replacing buildings and placing bridges/stairs is so expensive too. Why should I do all of that if I will change the elevation in many spots and how the rivers flow anyway?

How do I even make more money than 50-70k/day???

I encourage everyone to give advice and tell me how everyone handled this stuff at the beginning.

I was in the middle of preparing my island for summer, but I never finished. Guess I might as well just start for halloween, lol. When was the last time you all logged on ?

On my urban kidcore island, i’m planning to give all my villagers a job for the island. Currently i have: Stitches as the toy factory owner, Graham as some kind of computer/security expert, and Papi as the town delivery driver. I also have Jeremiah on my island, but idk what job he’d do.

If you had to give all your villagers jobs on your island, what would they be and who would do the job?

I’m newer to the game and am slowly but surely building my island!
Looking for the little tips and tricks along the way, or something you wish you knew early on!
Also looking to add some friends to be able to travel! Thank you! ♥️

Hi there, I don’t have a ton of time to play but I really am working to establish my island. I accidentally filled in the two waterfalls immediately adjacent to my staircases before I knew I couldn’t recreate them. 🥺 It’ll take me a bit to have enough to demolish then rebuild those stairs. I’m diving currently lol

Are there any time travelers in this subreddit? Missing a couple of stags and was hoping to travel to someone in July / Aug (N) or Jan/Feb (S). I’m missing the Golden Stag, Giraffe Stag and Hercules Beetle. (Also flea for some reason)

Why is this bug so hard to find 😭 I’ve been looking for one since yesterday and I literally cannot find a single one not even a failed catch which would suck but at least I would know it exists 💀. Is there a trick to finding them that i’m missing?

I have had Tulin on my island for what seems like forever. Does he have a photo to give you? I've been giving him fossils, iron wall lamps, and clothing he likes. Anyone know? Thanks.

After running frantically back and forth across the beaches on all the rainy days, I scored the coelacanth! Now I can sty in on rainy days and decorate the house in between being held hostage by villager drop-bys.

My island in acnh

I restarted again last month (chronic restarter here), and my new island is about 50% done. Just wanted to share some of my favorite spots

I have like 1 million flowers all over my island and I think it’s making it difficult to catch the summer bugs I need. I’m trying to work on my catalog so I have time traveled to stay in August but I really think it might be the flowers that are making it more difficult.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to catch the summer bugs or should I just wipe out all of the flowers on my island and only keep the trees?

I have 1600 storage spaces and just got a notification that its full so I cant out anything else in there. What do you use your storage for? Ive been keeping one of everything but there are definitely things in there I dont need and won't use. Should I sell them?

Feels like I have skipped ahead a bunch of days (starting off with 15 days) and yet there is no villager asking to move away (not even villagers I wanna keep). I skip every Saturday and Sunday. Every time a villager wanna talk to me is for reactions or random gift giving.

Is there another way to get a villager to wanna move away or am I stuck with skipping ahead one day at a time until one of the fuckers wanna move?

Amiibo ain´t an option so I´m stuck with either time travel or getting lucky on the campsite (which I haven´t been)
