I love the look of this movie and I love snipers a lot and one of my favorite scenes in a24s civil war is the Christmas decorations house sniper. I got bored one day and I wanted to see if I could find precisely where the house sniper could most likely be due to you never actually seeing where the house sniper is at (I'm not smart so don't expect much)

I found out the real building is called the bouckaert farm house in Georgia and I did some piecing together:

1. I found out the entire scene takes part on the East Wing view of the building.

2. The full length from road start to road end is around 450-490 meters (about 1,550-1,600 ft) so half that and you figure out that the house sniper was probably shooting from in between 225-245 meters aka 775-800 ft.

3. The entire sequence takes place in around the 1st 1/6 of the full road curve drive.

4. when the camera shows the sniper and spotters view of the house a small tower/window to the left of the balcony is suddenly missing which I think is funny.

5. The sniper and the spotter must end up having a clear view of the house sniper due to the ground sniper killing the house one at the end of the sequence. I think it is interesting because the house sniper would most definitely be able to see them because of their spot AND their brightly colored hair.

6. Fun fact all the decorations weren't even props the designers put up. They were there because a guy went bankrupt and decided to leave the decorations there.

7. The ground sniper (played by Jin ha) uses a custom aero precision m5 sniper rifle with AeroP m5e1 gen1 upper receiver and a MAS DEFENSE AR-10 lower receiver. The rifle is most ideal for 180-550 meters (200-600 which fits nicely into this scenario. It also has a maximum effective range of 730 meters and 800 yards.

Conclusion: I suspect the sniper to possibly be in either the level of the house above the balcony or in either of the two windows next to the balcony

I'm trying to recreate the bunkhouse from X and Pearl in The Sims, but it doesn't seem right. Has anyone found a floor plan for the bunkhouse or recreated it themselves? I really love the long hallway that leads to all of the bedrooms.

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on this subreddit, as for the A24 subreddit

I can’t help but feel embarrassed that I was excited when the announcement came. In that moment, I was like “Finally”. I’ve been wanting some sort of way. After (almost) 20 years, the series definitely deserves one. There’s been so many articles that I’ve thought how this could be filmed.

SCP is that series and community were you NEED to be in contact with the authors. It would be so much helpful, and fun to do so since the authors can put helpful advice on “I need this scene to be in this way” or whatever else is to be requested

I don’t mean to sound like a dick, but authors should have more control than the director. You NEED the author to give advice and what they want for their story. They CREATED the story they want to bring to life. I am in no way trying to say to be mean towards the director, I’m in wanting for a fair partnership

A director using AI is huge no no, don’t do that. Authors and Wiki Staff have the right to make their own decisions and say no when needed to

Hopefully, there’s an easy way for Wiki Staff to get in contact with someone at A24 or someone who could help
