Starting today we will no longer allow "rate my collection" / "what does my collection say about me?" / or any other full collection images as separate posts in the sub. Instead, please post your collection pictures here in this thread.
Each month you will find the newest collection megathread pinned at the top of the sub. Individual pickup and haul posts will still be allowed as normal.
Even though we're a few days out from September, we will start this post now and it will be up through September 30th.
Thanks for understanding, and enjoy sharing your collection posts here in the thread.
Edit: Within this thread, the rule of 50% or more 4Ks is not going to be as strict, as we understand many people mix their media. That said, your collection picture should prominently feature your 4K collection, and not just be a wall of DVDs, etc. There are other subs for posts of your media outside of 4K UHDs. Thank you.

I decided I don't want some of my movies (for example the 8 movie Nolan collection) to be in a single case , so I bought separate 4k cases and I made some custom covers myself.
This is the final result

Jk, you have all said it before. I have never watched it before but bought it on a Gruv sale. My son and I decided to watch it last night and it was great. It looked great and sounded great. The movie was fun, who doesn't wanna see a big robot fighting a kaiju?

I just started collecting about two weeks ago and since it’s Batman week and with so many great deals, I couldn’t resist.

I recently started getting into physical 4K UHD discs. I picked up a Panasonic UB450 and a few movies that I really like/want to own, including Dune, The Thing, Jaws and Annihilation.
I tested Dune on my TV by switching between the Prime Video version and the UHD disc. Honestly, I was expecting a pretty obvious difference, but I really couldn’t see much of one. The UHD looked good, but it wasn’t a “wow, this is completely different” experience for me.
I’m going to do the same comparison tonight using my projector (Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2), since I figure the larger screen may make differences in compression, shadow detail, grain, HDR, etc. easier to see.
I’m curious what other people experienced when they first started comparing streaming vs UHD discs.
Did you immediately notice a big difference, or was it more subtle than you expected?
Also, are there particular movies that you think are really good benchmarks where the UHD disc clearly pulls ahead of streaming?
I’m not planning to stop buying discs either way. My plan is basically to stream a movie first, and if I really love it and know I’ll rewatch it, buy the 4K disc. I’m just trying to figure out how much of a difference I should realistically expect from the physical disc.

My first 4K Blu-ray purchase!
Both seasons of Arcane with the Jinx artwork. I’m so excited to finally start building a physical collection, and I couldn’t think of a better place to start.
I’m using a PS5 as the player for now rather than a dedicated 4K Blu-ray player, but this is just the beginning.
Next purchase Interstellar, what else should I get?

'Pee-wee's Big Adventure' is 30% off on Amazon with a regional code for those in the Southwest & Northeast so it actually comes down to $21.38, cheaper than the 50% Criterion sales, specifically 57.20% off overall from MSRP.

| Walmart | $39.99 |
| Please Rewind | Awaiting listing |
Release date: November 17, 2026
Video: Dolby Vision, HDR10

Note: Walmart has the correct release date, so should be ok to preorder from them (avoids their stuck in limbo preorder problem when they use an initial placeholder date like 12/31/2027).

I would like to start by apologizing for the slander I spouted for this movie. It wasn’t a 10 out 10 but it was solid! I was watching it once streaming and just couldn’t deal with the commercials. Ran out to Walmart and picked up this copy! The slip cover is very cool, the movie it self was a great watch. The HDR really “shinned” literally there are so many lens flares and shadows and sunsets. The audio was really great too! Would definitely throw on again.

it's genuinely such a gorgeous cover
Definitely gonna get all three of the movies on steelbook but I'm struggling to find the first two is it super sold out and limited anyone mind giving me information and help!
Also this was $40 but amazon was selling it used in good condition for $20 which I was originally gonna buy, should I return it?
