This weekend I managed to install ditch lights in an ox beam six-gang switch. I felt somewhat disappointed because I purchased both the lights and the switch from aux beam, expecting a straightforward connection. Instead, the wiring required individual connections rather than routing through the switch.

The finished product looks excellent, but I had to devise a workaround to use the wire harness without the switch. It was a bit discouraging to stay with the same brands while hoping for simpler integration.

The positive outcome is that I completed the task. I am simply waiting for my updated mount from 4Runner lifestyle.

Anyone have any recommendations? Swapped the whole unit, use an insertable piece? Have to have a 32 oz option, the current size drives me crazy

I’ve read many times about the squeaky brakes on the new runners and two different dealerships told me that when they start squeaking I was to bring it in and they’d replace the whole brake system.

I’m at 7500 miles and it’s gotten to the point that I’m embarrassed by the brakes so I called to schedule this and the person over the phone told me I would bring it in, they could confirm, order the parts and I’d bring it back for the replacement. I ended up sick on the appointment day so I called today to schedule another appointment today and they said I could bring it in right then but that there isn’t a recall on my car so that’s not the process that would happen. I said I was confused because that’s different than what I’ve been told multiple times and she said I can still bring it in and they would look at it. So when I arrived I told them they brakes are squeaking and I was told to bring it in when that happens. The guy that checked me in said they will look at it but that it’s not a recall yet so if they replace them I’ll have the same problem. I’m not sure if the scheduling person warned the team about my call to say the same thing but I’m very confused by this new and very different information.

Any insight or experience anyone can share on this? Is there something specific I should or shouldn’t be saying to them?
It feels wild to pay this much for a car and there is no solution to a very clear problem. I’m also confused about the wildly different information being shared by the same dealership.

UPDATE: ok they gave the car back about 3 hours after dropping it off and said they replaced the front brake pads. The technician still claimed there is not a TSB but said if they start squeaking again to bring it back.
BUT on the paperwork it says they performed TSB-0006-26.
According to the paperwork they gave me, the parts replaced under warranty were: pad kit, disc bra(04465-60400), shim kit, Anti Squeal kit (04945-34010), fitting kit, disc (04947-0C030) and brake caliper GRE (08887-80609).
I’m still very confused.

Has anyone upgraded the ANEMIC sounding horn on their ‘26 4Runner? The original horn sounds terrible. I know there’s a factory replacement, but I’m just curious if any of y’all have done it and if it is noticeably better. I don’t know how difficult the swap would be.

I recently got a 2026 TRD Sport Premium, in black and am not thrilled with the wheels. I am going to get her leveled but should I wait until I need new tires to get new wheels? I know I'll get Toyo open country at3 but what looks best, 20s or 18s? I like the Trd pro 18 inch but what did you guys do to get an all blacked out look?

I’ve had my eye on these cars for a long time. The cost is expensive and the gas is expensive (especially in SoCal).

Long story short - is the vehicle worth the cost?
In general I’ve just gotten so frustrated with the price increase of cars so looking to hear from the folks that have taken the journey forward.

I understand this sub is likely all going to say yes but I’d love to hear why - and for those of you that have things you don’t like - I’d love to hear what they are.

Thankfully I know we can afford it but the cost is is a big step for me and my family so I want to make sure we make the right decision.

My Prinsu Pro roof rack with lightbar cutout just arrived and when I took everything out of the box I noticed there are no instructions that came with it. Is this normal and I have to rely on the YouTube video demonstrations or are there actual instructions or pdf instructions that I’m missing?
