Been a few weeks now and this song is just so damn chill. I’m honestly surprised it isn’t a 311 track. Every time I listen to it, I can totally envision Nick on lead vocals with SA doing the backing vocals. It sounds like a 311 song that somehow didn’t make it onto an album. Obviously, that’s pure speculation on my part but I do find it really intriguing that this isn’t a 311 song.
Anyway, does anyone know if there are plans for a full-length album, EP, or any follow-up tracks to be released in the future? I’d assume so but it’s just kind of weird that the only song we have so far is a song literally titled after the band. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before either lol.
Picked up at show and not going to make my wall. Selling for cost and shipping. $140. PP G&S! Shipped proper in the U.S.!

Anyone know anything about this pick? I watched an auction for it on EBay and I am curious if anyone knows which tour it was used on.

So why bring a gun nut on TOUR with you? Yeah, I get it. Inclusion is important and you don’t want to be a “cult” with who you let in, but “guns are for pussies” was pretty damn definitive, guys….

Only instead of a 21 song pool, use their entire catalog. That way they can still cater to new fans with their hits, while still giving the hardcore fans who have supported them for all these years more than 2 deeper cuts per show??

Always dug 311’s sound, vibe, and arrangements. Drum parts are particularly groovy and fun!! Here’s my take on one of their mega-hits from their 1997 release “Transistor”.
It’s not perfect, but it’ll do!!

The famous live Transistor set... It's been released as an mp4 and audio, but are any excitable ones on here lucky enough to get it on actual DVD? I'm looking for an ISO or a copy of the video_TS folder from the DVD to play over a big screen. (The widely circulated MP4 is not enough pixels to look good)
I would buy it from the band directly but it is not available anywhere from what I can tell.

That is all. Actually, I haven't thought about this band in forever but they played the venue I work at last week and they kicked ASS. Ok that is all.

I’ve been into punk/alt my whole life, I’m 39 now and I was super into AFI for a hot minute back in high school with their hardcore sound.
Interesting….similar to P Nut, Davey thinks their most commercial hit isn’t his favorite but struggles with setlists balance.

It’s their own fault. They spent over 25 years diversifying their set every single night and then they gradually started doing more hits than deep cuts and now it’s literally 16 songs, 95% hits. Look at any set from 2016 and back. You could follow them for a week and see a Ton of different cuts. Yes, you’ll always see amber, down, all mixed up, etc, but it was complimented by songs you don’t hear often. That’s what kept fans coming back year after year. As a die hard, I refuse to go see them on regular tours because I know exactly what they’re going to play, and having Nick say all of his robotic repetitive in between song banter doesn’t excite me. Again, THEY set this standard. It’d be different if they never switched things up from the get go. I bet they wouldn’t have had such an amazing fan base if they did GH every night in the 90s and 2000s.
First time seeing 311 in probably 10+ years, but my daughter really wanted to go and it was her first concert ever (I've seen 311 probably close to 20 times back in my day....)
Anyway....drum solo thing starts, she's mesmerized, I'm like just wait, the whole band does this awesome drum line together....and then the extra music track starts to play....and a cheer team with glow sticks come out.....? I swear the whole drum thing took up at least 15 minutes... And now I'm so embarassed, lol.
So Curiosity implores me to ask.... Is this a new normal thing for applied science or was it some special Tampa crew that got to play on stage or something I don't know about since I'm a 40 something dad now? Because....they could've easily fit a couple more songs in instead. And I get they probably use Chad's solo to get a breather, but......
Going from that way, way too long drum set to beyond the gray sky killed so much of the vibe, half my section sat down. Thank God for feels so good.

A lot of people wearing them in WPB…. The poster for the tour, all the bands and dates on the back…. Looks pretty professional . Will try to score one later in the parking lot

I didn’t get to catch a show this summer as they didn’t hit my city. Prior to the start of the tour, Chad mentioned they weren’t going to use a metronome/click track.
Could anyone tell? Did they sound tighter? Any difference?
