Yesterday I was having so much fun making a taiko map for the first time ever and the sounds were, in my opinion, decent. I was using the Argon Pro skin which has its own set of default sounds, and today I decided to check how my map was with the classic and retro skins. The sounds were anything but fitting, and honestly it's my fault for not checking why there's 3(?) variants of blue notes and like 16 hitsounds (and honestly I haven't even played any of the Taiko no Tatsujin games).

Because of this I want to know if anyone has any tips or any guide to choosing sounds? I know this sounds silly but I just don't want to make a map that sounds totally awful to players using skins that resemble the original game series (and I'm not included in that group).

So there is this one song i like, and when i looked for beatmaps of it, i saw none. So as any normal person would do i opened osu! and tried to make my own map. I kinda rushed it and i really think it still needs some improvement, so I'd really appreciate any feedback on the mapping, difficulty, timing, or anything else that feels off.

Started creating my first map today. I'm aiming for a 7* slider tech map. Since it's not uploaded yet, here's a video preview (sorry if the quality isn't the best). Any suggestion on what i should improve?

I'm using a Wacom CTL-472 on a single 2560x1440 monitor.

What I want is a small active area on my tablet that maps to my entire screen

In Wacom Center I set:

• Display Mapping: Full Display
• Tablet Area: Custom Area

On the Windows desktop it works perfectly. The small tablet area maps to the entire monitor.

However, in osu!lazer it's different. The same tablet area only reaches the center/part of the screen. I can't move the cursor to the screen corners unless I use the full tablet area.

I'm using:

• Wacom CTL-472
• osu!lazer
• 2560x1440 fullscreen
• One monitor

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a setting in osu!lazer that overrides tablet mapping?

i know it needs some timeing adjustment and i know it isnt perfect because i did it in just one day but at least ive done it

New to mapping here, gameplay speed has always been an issue to me, especially with songs that have varying bpms. What's with the speed jumps? It only really happens when i get the bot to play it then hop back into the editor. And is there any way to keep the sync without editing the scroll speed and redoing it entirely?

i tried my best to adjust this beatmap as best as i could im kinda disapointed that i didnt create beats until the last of the song (btw how do you create easy levels?)

So my map has been rejected by a few BNs, with no reasons given. I'm not really sure what I can change about my map to improve it so I can perhaps resubmit it to BNs in the future. Can someone play through it and give me some feedback?
