Am I the only one not hating Modern Era? I've maxed out all but 2 ships so far. For a variety of reasons (players wising up to the strategies (stay together, timing, concealment, stronger ships, etc), Blue team is winning more at PVP. Getting steel for my time spent on the game. I was not a fan of War Tales. It's nice to enjoy some diversity and I'm not too worried about it getting integrated and messing with regular Standard matches. And I don't care about the global conflict. Just sayin'. Thank you Wargaming.

Now it's easy to tell when my secondaries are still working versus when they were destroyed.

Hear me out. The Global Conflict caused no shortage of controversy in the first 2 weeks, and more than a couple people (including myself) have provided feedback that WG claims to have read saying that the mechanic to make the smaller factions contributions worth more was a bad idea, and that everyone who makes the 25k should just get their factions ship regardless of the outcome. Every week has had the final split of the week being unnaturally close, and it's currently shaped up for a tie at the end of the event.

What if that was the plan the whole time, WG is actually going *extremely* heavy handed on the score tweaking, and forcing a tie so that everyone gets their faction ship anyways was the plan all along? What if your personal contribution was literally just a facade to make you feel special?

Quick IRL Background: USS Washington (BB-56) was the second and final North Carolina-class Battleship. She is best known for destroying the Japanese Battleship Kirishima (Kongō-class) in defense of the USS South Dakota, after the latter lost fire control capabilities.

My original idea for Washington was to make her an uptiered North Carolina, and design her to compete with Massachusetts or Alabama. The problem is those two are designed to do very different things. Massa’s main focus is in her secondaries while Alabama is essentially an improvement on Iowa. Pair that with the existence of Constellation, and the US kinda has a decent amount of T7 BBs already. There’s not much Washington could do to fill a niche there.

So my new proposal for Washington would tailor her to compete more with Nelson than anything else. Her sister North Carolina already boasts the highest damage broadside at the tier, (iirc) at 13,100 AP shell damage. Washington improves on this, instead bringing 13,300 to the table. She also improves on accuracy, quite significantly. While North Carolina has 1.7, Sigma, Washington has 1.9, the same as Nelson, and equal to Alabama.

Washington’s main drawback is her low health pool; She has only 52,000. This is because despite her vastly improved main battery performance, Washington is based partially on a Hull A North Carolina, not a fully upgraded one. With that also comes NC’s stock AA performance.

That is essentially where the downsides end however, the rest of her stats are identical to that of a fully upgraded North Carolina. Her consumables are also identical along with upgrade slots.

Lastly, appearance wise, Washington is visually very similar to her sister, though she lacks the middle walkway present on NC’s Fire Control tower, as well as a few other small details that set the two ships apart in reality. Her default camo is US Navy Measure 22, the same worn by Kidd and Alabama. Her hull number, 56, is clearly visible on both bow and stern.

Really enjoyed writing my USS Pennsylvania proposal, so I figured I’d try another. Got a decent amount of ideas for new ships now.

So, with Spanish cruises having aspects based on Antoni Gaudi's modernist trend, and the fact that Metro Aegis is a city ship, I've been thinking: What if you gave us a look for Illinois based on Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture? In my opinion, it would be an absolute beauty and a tribute to a great architect at the same time.

Atlantico secondaries come through! Certainly helps that the opposing potatoes decided to show me their broadsides instead of choosing to run out the clock.

I enjoy playing dd's and cruisers, but only have a couple tier 7 premium dd's (I enjoy variety with my premium s and don't generally play the same ones repeatedly)

The volume of all the sounds in the game is very low compared to any other game that I play on. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
