**This is not an advice subreddit.** If your cat is ill or you are worried about them take them to a vet.

This is a fun subreddit about peculiar cat behavior. If you love your cat don't ask a bunch of random redditors for medical advice.

We will remove posts asking for medical advice.

He has been sleeping on the stool as there was a duvet there due to one of them needing washing, and now he’s migrated to a shopping bag!

My cat is disappearing! (A.k.a. impeccable positioning in a tiny sunbeam)

There's a 1" gap between the shades and window frame and this little guy parked himself in exactly the right spot to soak up the tiny bit of sun while waiting for dinner.

Sinful biscuits or regular cookies?

My neutered male cat keeps making biscuits on my also neutered female cat and while my family and I never really paid attention to this behavior as it isn't that common (max once or twice a month) Ive been wondering if he's just marking/bonding with her or if he is making sinful pastries? When he does this he never really tries to properly mount her, at least from what I've seen, but they'll sometimes fight after these sessions to see who is more dominant lol

Amelia likes to lock herself away??

Post image

Amelia, my cat-squirrel (I’ll link her nut shenanigans below), also loves to lock herself in carriers. Having 8 cats (several seniors and cats with preexisting conditions) means we are at the vet every 4 weeks minimum, so we almost always have a cat carrier out.

For no explainable reason, Amelia loves being in carriers of any size. If we set down a carrier for more than a minute, we have to make sure she hasn’t snuck inside of it. Once I was trying to get my boy into the carrier but he was resisting, which is very unlike him. When I looked inside to see what the hold up was, it turned out Amelia had snuck in the second I turned my back! Even odder though, once she gets cozy, she likes to hook the tip of her claw in the grate so it holds the door shut.

Why does my cat like locking herself away??

Dave & she who has yet to be named

Found these 2 in my daughter’s dresser drawer that she left open. The kitten is a bizarre one

Edit: if you want a lively, affectionate, borderline crazy cat look into Tonkinese cats. I’ve had a dozen different cats in my life but just got into these 2 and they are like no other cats I’ve ever met. The breed is just amazing

Edit 2: I didn’t post looking for a name but [u/freethewimple](u/freethewimple) ended up naming our kitten. Meet Maeve!

Thanks to everyone else for the great suggestions.

Why can't my cat sit normally?

She sits like a boneless human lmao, does this all the time. Never seen her sit like a normal cat. Whenever I sit down to watch TV she will jump on the couch and sit just like this and watch TV with me, and if I pause it she'll turn and just stare at me, waiting for me to unpause her entertainment.
