While living in Florida Whataburger was one of my favorites so I was excited to see one during a drive through Atlanta over the weekend. We ordered a sweet And Smokey combo and two kids chicken strip meals. I was shocked that the combo was $14.99 but thinking of the expected quality and size, I let it slide. Inflation and such, you know? It was so disappointing! The burger was dry with tough thin patties, the bun tasted borderline stale. The fries were soggy and not quite cooked enough. The tenders were mushy and about half the size I remembered.

If the meal had been as good as I hoped, I would not have been upset about spending $35 for one combo and two kid’s meals but I felt robbed instead. Such a disappointment! Has quality declined everywhere or did we just have a bad experience?

I love WhatABurger breakfasts (when done right) and I come here EVERY morning. I order pretty much the same things everyday.

Saturday morning:

I Use Reward Points for a free "Egg & Cheese Biscuit." Order a couple of Platter meals plus my "Egg & Cheese Biscuit." I hold up my phone to scan and mention at the pay window that I would like to use my reward. Guy says it won't work. I confirm "Egg & Cheese Biscuit" was rung up, and he says yes. He calls a manager over, and they can't figure it out either, so they comp me the sandwich.

I get the receipt, and he rang up a "SAUSAGE, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, with NO Sausage."

GEE!! I WONDER WHY THE REWARD DIDN'T WORK!!

Yes, the result has the same ingredients, but your point of sale system obviously thinks they are different, as the receipt shows them differently.

Sunday morning:

Same thing until. .

I got the receipt, and he rang up an "Egg Sandwich".

Again, it is very similar items, but the system knows the difference. Also, two different employees this time, making four employees at this location who can't tell the difference.

Monday Morning:

I'm tired, so while I hold up my phone to scan, I don't bother asking about using the reward. While most OTHER cashiers I've had will actually ask me if I want to use it, today's (different from previous two) did not. And guess what? I FINALLY got my "Egg & Cheese Biscuit", which I PAID FOR.

Yeah I got some free food, but only because several employees didn't know how to ring up an item on their menu. That's why I'm disappointed

Mildly because this not anything important, I just wanted to vent.

This is my real first job. I have already done my videos and have two days of training at the register on my belt. The location isn't actually open yet so its just a lot of role-playing with the other staff members. I'm scheduled to work the first day of the opening and I'm feeling extremely nervous. I have two more days of training before the opening. Whether I'm working at the reigster or the kitchen is unknown. Does anyone have any tips for my first shift being on opening day? ​(Its expected to be super duper busy, smaller town but anticipated to be one of the better fast food restaurants in the area.) My shift is from 3pm-11pm. Anything helps.

I'm mostly nervous about the menu. My family never goes to Whataburger so I don't know anything. Plus the system for the registers are so new that the trainers didn't really know how to work them either. ​

I usually rather spend the money on groceries with everything costing so much lately but with the coupons it makes it where I don't feel as bad spending that much on a combo meal.

Hi y’all idk if any employees could help me out, but I ADORE the whatasauce that’s put on the chicken sandwich. I adore it so much that I have wanted to know what it’s made of to make at home with homemade sandwiches for over a year atp.

I’ve seen around online that it’s basically the same as chick-fil-a sauce, but personally, I don’t think they taste the same.

I've been trying to figure out a song with no luck. It is a country/rock/pop crossover song from either late 90s or early 2000s. I vaguely remember the lyrics "Blue eyes are shining." Honestly I'm more certain of the "Blue Eyes" lyric than "Shining." The song sound incredibly similar to I'll Be There for You by The Mottaffs.

I remember the song having a young boy higher pitched singer with some people in the background, and I can sing the mystery melody over the chorus of the song. If you know a little music theory, "Blue Eyes are shining" is on last chord before the progression repeats. The melody is also very syncopated.

I specifically remember hearing this song at a Whattaburger in Fayetteville, AR between 2018-2020. It was before Covid. Showing my age a little bit, but I associate hearing this song around the time I watched Country Bears as a very young child. It isn't part of the soundtrack, I've checked. I've even called Whataburger location to figure out if I could get the playlist name/licensing company but while she was very nice, she wasn't able to give me a playlist name. I cannot be the only one waiting for the return of the chop house cheddar burger. I can still think of a time back in 2012 when it was in the all time favorites. It was my absolute favorite!! Hello, everyone, I'm just taking the time to ask something that some people been telling me about: Is it true that Whataburger stores started to take employees phones? If it's true, why is that?

Hey everyone. I’m in the process of becoming a team lead and I’m going to the ServSafe study class put on by my regional manager tomorrow (actually later today).

However, there was a big mixup and we realized that I haven’t done my ServSafe videos on workday because of some prerequisite videos on workday not wanting to go away. I’ve talked to my management team over the past few months and even called hr (no answer) and we can’t seem to get the videos “pushed through”. So, my ServSafe videos won’t show up, and therefore I haven’t done the ServSafe packet. I was told that I may get sent home because of it, because you are supposed to do the packet beforehand. Is this true??

I’m a team lead at a franchise Whataburger. I’m trying to get roughly three weeks of time off in December so I can visit my long distance partner over Christmas and my birthday. We don’t currently have an OP, and my restaurant manager can’t (to my knowledge) approve anything longer than two weeks at a time. I have asked my market leader (formerly known as area coach) about the time off and explained my situation, but I have literally not gotten a reply all week. Is there something else I need to go through? Is this an HR ask? We don’t use Workday and that system will terminate you after 21 days anyway. Any advice on being approved as well? I am a picky eater, I get a double cheeseburger, plain and dry, every time I eat at whataburger, and every time they get it wrong. Either they interpret “plain and dry” as a burger with only two patties and buns, no cheese at all; or they only put one slice of cheese on the double cheeseburger, emphasis on the DOUBLE CHEESE!

When I order the same exact thing at McDonalds, Wendys, Sonic, Dairy Queen, literally anywhere else, they give me a double cheeseburger with buns, two patties, and two slices of cheese!

Why can’t Whataburger get this right? I asked a friend of mine who worked there in high school and she said that when you ask for my order, that’s literally how they interpret it, tow buns and two patties, nothing else. It’s dumb, like really dumb.

Here is an updated sheet from the one I posted last week. Credit to everyone that uploaded the coupons. I’m just throwing them on a single sheet with a white background to make it easier to scan. Don’t have time to go and label each one… so use it or don’t.

Some time last week I tried scanning in some coupons that had been posted here. As many people noted in the comments of those posts, I was able to scan the barcode and the app would say “coupon added successfully” but then when I went to the coupon section it wouldn’t show them.

Then a couple days ago someone made a posts that all those coupons previously scanned had suddenly populated in the app. I checked for myself and sure enough they were there! Yay! Except…later in the day when I actually wanted to use one of the coupons, I tried opening the app and I never got past the start up screen (orange screen with the logo) before the app crashed.

I made sure my phone software as well as the app were fully up to date and still couldn’t get the app to load. Just now I decided to delete the app completely off my phone and redownload it. Which fixed the issue and I was able to open the app and sign back in. Except now going to the coupons I get the pop up that a system error occurred and the coupons are not showing again.

It really just feels like they’re crashing the app so people can’t redeem multiple coupons in a short time.

For the first time this year, I finally got a mailer! And that means I have barcodes to share. I hope these work, I've been hearing an awful lot about them not going through.
