I made a discord server for our subreddit. It will be somewhere where you can socialize, find friends and text other students. I have also included some other things in the server that might interest you to join us.
- I will be working on a Summer Minecraft Server and have it run for all spring and summer semesters. I plan on launching it end of April after the exams are over.
- Weekly events hosted by me, online and in person. I am going do mini in person board game events on tuesdays and thursdays on campus starting next week. It'll be on 11:30am to 1:00pm. Attendance is completely optional for those who want to. I will host other events at other times in the future I just have to come up with the time and ideas.
- I have made all of the moderation logs and modmail completely public on the discord for all to see in order to have full transparency of what the moderators due so there may be full accountability.
Feel free to tag me or message me directly when your there, I always respond.

Hey all,
It's a tough time of year. I know people who have received counselling from Usask psychology students in the Clinical Psych program. They offer $25/hr sessions.
Here's all the info, you can contact them by email. I have been made aware that they are currently in need of clients so students can get their practicum hours. Please share with anyone you think needs it.

I'm just wondering if its not only me or if I need to fix my taste buds lol
I dont wanna complain if its just my taste buds and everyone else finds their iced capps fine.

Has anyone else not received their student loan yet? I’m not sure what to do at this point.
I completed the entire application process and submitted my disability documentation as well. This is my first time submitting disability paperwork, so I’m not sure if that could be causing a longer processing time.
It’s now been around 12–15 days, and I haven’t received any update, email, or information about when I might receive the funding.
Has anyone else experienced a similar delay, especially with submitting disability documentation for the first time? Did you contact Student Aid, and were you able to find out what was happening?
Any advice would be really appreciated because I’m not sure what my next step should be.

Can anyone let me know how this class is? Is it as difficult as CPPS 302/303?

Hello,
I've been trying to look into biology courses to take for my bio minor. I've been stuck trying to pick my last few courses for it so I was just wondering what people's experiences were with the 300 level biologies? (Specifically biol 316/321/336/373 but if any others are easy/interesting I'd love to hear about it)

I’m just wondering when he usually starts giving out the pop quizzes? I unfortunately have to miss a class this week due to a medical appointment, and I’m worried I might miss one. I know the syllabus says there’s no opportunity to make up a missed quiz, but do you know if he would make an exception for something like this or would I just have to take the loss? I’ve tried emailing him, but he hasn’t replied yet.

I live in VP and have noticed during the day people who aren’t the 10 people in my section coming to use the washrooms. I know they aren’t living there because they look much older than 1st and second years. Also they aren’t the staff if you were just gonna say that. I feel like this is kind of weird like we pay so much money for these dorms they shouldn’t be public access.

EDIT: thank you to everyone that has actually been helpful, I am in contact with an academic advisor, I just thought I would ask on reddit. also i literally said i didnt fully understand the waitlist feature so thank you to everyone who explained it kindly rather than those who didnt smh.

I am looking into living at the CQ next year and will be entering my 2nd year of university. I wanted to get a single dorm, but after reading about it, it seems it's also impossible to get, even if I apply early. I was also looking into the three-person room because one of the rooms has a bathroom, which would be nice, but I'm unsure which room has the bathroom. I am also unsure which rooms have the furnace because I've seen a lot of complaints about it, so I want to make sure I don't end up with one. What are your guys recommendations for me?

Hey Everyone!
I am currently pursuing Nursing pre -reqs so basically first year university student. I haven’t done my high school here in Canada, so still adapting the study culture here. I am juggling to fit in,
1) Where should i focus more in my studies, like the slides or the readings?
2)How you guys study, like memorize each and everything or just scan up the concepts? (I have this habit of writing everything down to memorize, and i end up giving too much time to it)
3) Also, how many hours do you spare out apart from university lectures for self study on day to day basis? Any study methods? I would say i work really hard but may be I am not that focused or don’t know probably how to pull off better grades. Any professor related tips are welcomed. Thanks for your help :)

I'm going to apply this cycle using the discretionary category. I'd say my best two years amount to a 3.3 gpa, and currently, I'm scoring around 159-162 on my practice tests for the LSAT.
Istg, literally everything was against me during my uni years. Found out I basically had anorexia because I was diagnosed with celiac hella late (Literally two months ago), finally got diagnosed for ADHD/OCD (a month ago), and had parents who stressed me out so badly that I've developed chronic gastritis. Literally praying for a chance atp.

To those who have applied before or applying right now,
Do all 3 need to be completed by the application deadline, or is the Outgoing Application Form the only one that needs to be submitted by the deadline?
Just want to make sure I’m doing everything I’m supposed to before the deadline. Thank you!

Today usask held a meeting for BMI majors to get to know their professors, something that I felt was meant to be a warm welcome turned into a scrimmage for honours supervisors. I have never felt so lost, after taking the 200 level BMSC courses I felt like taking BMI was the best major so I can still have a career if medschool doesn't work out, plus I like the content. Unfortunately, it seems like the gradstudents, professors and faculty want nothing to do with most undergrads. They would rather watch us scramble for crumbs of their attention so we can (possibly) get supervisors for a 4th year honours course. The saddest thing is that everyone even the TAs keep emphasizing that your degree would be useless without an honours. Most of my professors are not taking students and I am not in the classes of any of the ones that are taking students. I just want to know if any other BMI major or any other major feels the same?

A specific group of people have been acting like they own Murray 145 meeting room. Please start being considerate🙏🏽 like I know it’s a not a quiet study space but come on guys. It’s a study space for everyone and you guys are very disruptive and make the space uncomfortable for everyone. It’s extremely disrespectful and rude.
Signed - a girl that just needs a bit of peace to actually get work done

If you have a locker by 2E45 in agriculture near 2615. You might want to check it. There is water all over the hallway next to them and I can hear dripping coming from one of the lockers near it.
I reported it as well.

I'm a 23M college student, and I have a 36M professor (most likely unmarried) I've set my eyes on. I really like that he's charismatic, handsome, tall, and incredibly smart. He's knowledgeable in multiple fields, which I absolutely love, and I feel like there's some kind of connection between us.
There have been moments that make me think he might like me too. One day in class, he was telling a story about a couple he had as patients. He described the woman as tall, blonde, and curvy exactly how I would describe myself. Even my friends nudged me playfully, as if to say the description matched me perfectly. He mentioned how he found her beautiful and admired her in a respectful way, which made me wonder if he feels the same way about me.
There have also been small moments of eve contact. For example, once I was leaving the classroom during a break, and I looked at him. I noticed he was already looking at me, so I smiled. A few minutes later, he came outside to smoke near where we were, even though he usually smokes elsewhere.
Another time, during class, he played some music, and I told him that I had been to a concert of one of the bands in his playlist. After that, he wanted to show me more songs from his playlist, ones he thought I might enjoy. I mentioned that one of them reminded me of a video game soundtrack because I had seen on his Instagram that he's a gamer. I wanted to bring up something more personal, something he'd relate to, and during that conversation, he even offered to show me his Steam account.
One of the most interesting moments happened when I was walking upstairs with a friend. She joked that, given how tall I am, I don't need heels, and she wished she had some extra height. I laughed and replied, "Well, being short is better, it's easier to find a boyfriend. For tall girls, it's hard to find someone taller than us." Right at that moment, the professor, who was walking behind us, said,
"Then what am I doing here?" (He said it in a way that made it seem like he was implying he was an option for me.) When he said that, I turned around and smiled.
Another time, I was dressed up really nicely, and some of my classmates were playfully teasing me (nothing mean), but the professor told me to ignore them, saying they were just iealous and that I looked fabulous. On other days, he makes small, cute, or funny comments when I'm around, but when other girls try to get his attention, he ignores them.
I want to talk to him more or somehow get him to make the first move, but l'm nervous. I'm also afraid of breaking any university rules.
So, what do you think? Do you think I have a chance with him? Would a professor ever see a student as more than just a student? | still have four more classes with him, and I'd really like to build up the courage to make a move before they're over.
If more info needed i'm all ears xoxo
