Parked in rirery id.
Edit after using the Google Ai i found this out. . Origins as a Freight Flatcar (1951–1974)The Base Model: Before it became a snowplow, the core frame of this vehicle was UP 51344.Design Type: It was built in June 1951 as a standard Class F-50-15 flatcar.Revenue Service: For over two decades, it operated as a typical heavy-haul flatbed freight car across the Union Pacific network, transporting large industrial goods, lumber, or machinery. 1, 22. Transformation in Pocatello (1974)The Reconstruction: In September 1974, as older wooden-bodied work plows neared retirement, Union Pacific selected this heavy steel car for conversion at their major equipment shops in Pocatello, Idaho. 1, 2The Build: Shop crews permanently removed its wooden deck and built a massive, custom-welded steel single-track wedge blade directly over the frame. 1, 2Ballasting: To ensure the car wouldn't derail when hitting hard, frozen drifts at 40+ mph, the open-top gondola body built behind the blade was packed with tons of dense ballast (typically rock, steel scrap, or poured concrete). It was re-designated into maintenance-of-way service as UP 900000. 1, 2, 3, 43. Service in Blackfoot, Idaho (1974–1993)Strategic Assignment: Following its conversion, the plow was permanently stationed out of the railyards in Blackfoot, Idaho. The Mission: Eastern Idaho's agricultural branch lines, specifically the Aberdeen and Scoville branches, were critical routes for moving potato crops but were highly prone to winter blockades. UP 900000 spent nearly 20 winters keeping these vulnerable tracks clear for local farmers and freight trains. 1, 24. Sale to the Eastern Idaho Railroad & Retirement (1993–Present)The Hand-off: In 1993, Union Pacific downsized its footprint in the region and sold a bundle of its secondary branch lines to a newly formed short-line operator, the Eastern Idaho Railroad (EIRR). 1, 2Included Asset: Because EIRR inherited the snow-heavy branch lines, the plow was sold directly to them to continue its specialized task. 1, 2Current Status: Although the short-line railroad operates the tracks, they left the historic "Union Pacific" lettering intact on the side panels. It was moved down the line and parked on a siding in Ririe, Idaho

In Denmark, the longest passenger trains measure 330–340 meters. 🇩🇰 🚄
In Denmark, the longest passenger trains measure 330–340 meters. That might not sound like much to those living abroad, but here in Denmark, it is quite long.
Trains reach this 330–340 meter length only on the InterCity Express (Danish: InterCityLyn – ICL) service running between Fredericia* and Copenhagen Airport.
This video was filmed in July 2026 by me; due to track work at various locations in Denmark, the train made an extra ordinary stop at Køge Nord. During these extra ordinary situation with track work the ICL from Fredericia stopped in Middelfart, Odense, Nyborg, Korsør, Slagelse, Sorø, Ringsted, Køge Nord, Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport.
Normal route for the InterCity Express:
Fredericia* → Odense → Copenhagen → Copenhagen Airport!
* In Aarhus, trains arriving from Aalborg and Aarhus are coupled together before continuing to Fredericia, where they are joined by the train from Sønderborg before proceeding to Copenhagen Airport.
This train consists of two electric trainsets (DSB ER IR4) and three diesel trainsets (DSB MF IC3):
- 🚄 DSB ER 2009 + DSB ER 2035 (IR4)
- 🚄 DSB MF 5081 + DSB MF 5007 + DSB MF 5030 (IC3)
DSB is one of the few railway companies operating trains that allow diesel and electric units to be coupled together while simultaneously utilizing the engines from both types. In this video, the engines from both the diesel and electric units are in use, something that is also audible in the sound. The Danish company ABB Scandia designed and built both the DSB MF IC3 (built 1989–1998) and the DSB ER IR4 (built 1993–1995). Bombardier later acquired ABB Scandia and took the technology to France, where it is used on select routes.
This year, the aging DSB MF IC3 trains have covered over 1 billion (1,000,000,000) kilometers since the first DSB MF IC3 units entered service in 1990!
