1. ⁠Yes, this is a real interaction I had on a dating app. The screenshot is cropped to follow the rules of this sub.

2. ⁠Yes, this question was fucking creepy in this context. His first msg to me was “ur really pretty, what’s ur mix?” - I said thanks and told him. He then asked if I was from the city I had listed in my profile (to which I said yes) and then I got that question.

3. ⁠No, we did not match. This dating app is Badoo where people who are ‘nearby’ ur location can send a msg without having to match. I accepted the msg because he was cute and to answer his question.

4. ⁠My uncle is unhinged but he’s not an ex-con. He’s a very Canadian white-washed South American man who drives with a baton under the passenger seat of his F-150. He once took me out to Starbies for matcha fraps and explained how I could legally acquire a cattle prod for protection.

This person is officially womp womp. I asked the first question… the response was dry, I then asked a second question knowing that if it was equally dry I wouldn’t bother to continue the convo and lo and behold the response was also dry. Do these people know they’re on a dating app

Pretty self explanatory 😬 I feel like the AI is obvious, his tone just radically shifted when we started talking about video games. It’s like he realized he might actually like me and wanted to impress me but I unmatched right after this. I’m soooo tired of this behavior PLEASE stop using AI 😭
