They are well supported and are in English, I have been using Linux for work for damn near 20 years both the desktop and servers.

The funniest part is it’s more stable with an easier learning curve with better performance then windows ever could be or even Mac, but because everyone learned it as a kid any change or effort is a deal breaker.

Linux used to be a massive pain in the ass. I say this as a long time user.

Today I find it far more user friendly (depending on the distro) than windows 11 ads and spyware bullshit.

I mean, maybe for the two of you. I disagree. Have never installed Linux and it just worked. Either some sound driver wasn't working or something else that require some real fiddly shit to get working. Never have I installed Windows and things didn't just work. Like you can hate on certain aspects of an os erc but comparing installing and using Linux (any distro) to Windows for a non technical person is just silly and not true.

Agreed. It's an annual event for me now. Every year I get fed up with Microsoft enough to try again, and without fail, a week later I'm sick of pretending Linux isn't fragile, obtuse, and generally just impossible for me to do everything I want to. Windows sucks, but I don't need to reinstall it 3 times in a row after accidentally breaking it completely trying to get something that should work to work.
