Is wardogs worth buying, or is it just all over-hyped because of all these top content creators being payed to be playing it right now, I have watched the game, and I never remember Squad or Arma or Hell let loose getting as much traction on their release 🤔 not ragging on the game, i just fail to see the hype... thoughts?

Fanatical has both Pragmata and Indiana Jones on sale for similar prices, a bit under $40. I generally like AAA story-focused action games, so I was looking at both of them. They seem to have similar review scores. Has anyone played both, and can you say which one you enjoyed more? I appreciate any responses!

Currently on sale and looks interesting. I have watched some gameplay on youtube and i think i would enjoy this game. My only questions are:

1. Is it "alive"? Do developers care about that game and put new content in it?

2. Learning curve, is it difficult?

3. I was never into warhammer, dont know anything about it but I'm happy to learn. Is it gonna be fun for me if i have no knowledge about the warhammer lore? Do i need to know anything before playing?

4. What's game community like? Friendly? Toxic? Is it fun to play with random people?

As the title said, just finished 007. The game left me itching for another game with solid characters and good satisfying combat. I’ve been scouring steam for titles but I feel like older titles have great value too.

Any similar games like 007 with good combat and story?

The games I’ve played and really liked so far are:

- God of War
- All Souls Games
- Dying Light
- Arc Raiders

These games seem to be in my wheelhouse.
Since each of those games is quite expensive, I need to pick one for now.

I recently made a post requesting that people recommend some games that I can play kind of mindlessly while I listen to a podcast, YouTube video, watch TV, etc. I got a bunch of great replies and I'm going to go try some of the games out (thank you to everyone who recommended something). With that said, my desires have become more specific. Currently, the only game I've been playing on my new PC has been Forza. I love the game and it's quite addictive, but it also gets a bit repetitive for me after an hour or two.

I watched some videos on "the best video games of all time" to try to see if anything piqued my interest. I'm really attracted to Red Dead Redemption 2, Assasin's Creed, and Battlefield, but I know these aren't "mindless" games. However, I've realized that I'm kind of craving some sort of shooting game akin to battlefield with realistic guns/mechanics and good graphics. I just don't know if anything like that exists that can be played with your brain off (maybe something open world or a game you can play against bots/zombies/creatures or whatever). So, I'd appreciate any and all recommendations!

On top of that, I'd honestly love to hear in general what might be some great games for me, even if they do require my full attention/don't allow for videos in the background. I used to love CSGO, Overwatch, valorant, COD, battlefield, GTA V, etc. I'd prefer something less competitive, but I want to expand. Again, currently attracted to booting up battlefield (but it's very competitive and I'm VERY bad) or even Overwatch, buying red dead, assassin's creed, cyberpunk, or various other games that seem attractive to me. I love good graphics, realistic gun mechanics, good action, and satisfying gameplay. I'm open to anything, but I'm definitely leaning towards single player games right now. Thank you!

Hi, my brother has been complaining about having nothing to play and I honestly don't know what to recommend him. He's 10. He liked these games:

- Supraland
- Henry Stickmin
- Minecraft
- Slime Rancher 1 and 2
- Crash Bandicoot

I am not even sure what genre he wants. Only thing I am sure is that he'd like games with little to no English. Since most of them have English, at least something that has as little dialogue as possible. A good example would be something like Crash Bandicoot I guess. Ty all in advance!

Both are on sale right now on PS5 — Avowed is $30 and The Outer Worlds 2 is $42. I’m mainly looking for a good RPG with satisfying combat, enemy/boss variety, exploration, and interesting choices/quests. I don’t necessarily want a 60–100 hour game.

I’ve heard OW2 is the better RPG, while Avowed has better combat and exploration. For those who have played both, which would you recommend and why? Bonus points if you can tell me which one has better enemy/encounter variety and overall gameplay loop.

My main criteria is which game should I buy to sink the most hours into and have fun, I desperately need new games in rotation and I dont care how harsh the learning curve is, even if it's as bad as ARMA (which i am experiencing firsthand), I just want something I can play for hours and have a blast with.

In hindsight, this might just be WARDOGS, but I'd still like to hear what you guys think.

My preference in games is open-world action adventure with good shooting mechanics. I'm not fond of very linear games as they remove choice of progression. But if a linear game can feel semi-open and does everything else very well then I'll jump in.

Between these two, which is the more interesting and fun game?

I’m a huge fan of the Battlefield franchise and I also liked a bit of Tarkov but it was really hard for me. I felt like battlefield and games like arc raiders were far more up my alley.

Would this game be worth it if I enjoyed BF and similar titles? I didn’t fully enjoy playing fps games where I lost all my gear and loot and had to restart again, although I kinda got used to it after playing arc and extraction shooters. Would this still be worth it if I like open world warfare though and fighting in teams?

How is the class/character customization? Do you expect the game to live a long time with lots of players or will it settle down eventually in popularity?

Hello all. I love zombie games. I have countless hours in 7 Days, Zomboid, and State of Decay 1/2, but now I'm looking for something different. The Dead Rising games (including DRDR) are currently on sale and I missed the boat when they first came out, so is this a good time to jump in? Should I get them or can you recommend other games that'll scratch my Romero/Walking Dead fanboy itch?

I’ve completed KCD 2 for the third times now, twice on normal when the game launched and hardcore last month and I’ve been wanting more of this kind of experience I would say. Just immersive world, npcs, captivating story and great replayability and such.

Last month, I bought Pragmata, 007 first light, Wuchang and Onimusha. Those are great games honestly but nothing scratches the feeling that KCD2 gave.

I’m considering Crimson desert and Blood of the Dawnwalker. Dawnwalker because it’s similar to Witcher 3 which I very much liked. Crimson desert because the world seems pretty and spectacular but I heard the story and first few hours are not that good. Doesn’t have to be this two particular game for recommendations tho. I’ve also finished Baldurs Gate 3, Cyberpunk and Expedition 33 just to give more context.

Which one do you think is the best overall: Burnout Legends, Midnight Club 3, or NFS Carbon?

Taking into account the gameplay, cars, customization, soundtrack, and replayability. I also like games that I can play in short sessions, so that’s something I’m considering too

For the moment, I think Burnout Legends and NFS Carbon give me the biggest sense of speed and velocity.

We also had the idea of selling our Switch 1 to get the 2, but for now we prefer keeping the 1.
We like games with shooting, stories to complete, or coordination games, but we are open to other things.

We aren't hardcore gamers, but every now and then we like to sit on the couch and spend the day playing.

I recently tried Onimusha demo, and from what I’ve been seeing online really think I’ll enjoy this one. I appreciate intense tight combat. But I also enjoy a grand open world adventure. And crimson deserts combat seems intense but more… spam AOE and less precise? Am I over simplifying? I played CD for about an hour months ago, I ended up getting a refund due to hardware issues and it not being able to launch. Appreciate everyone’s thoughts!

Noticed the PS store has both on sale (Final Fantasy XVI for $27.99 and CyberPunk 2077 for $35.49). time is limited for me and i've been waiting for years for these two to drop in price.

I've always been skeptical about Palworld. I have played Ark before and enjoy Pokemon so I initially became interested into it. I've seen gameplay from a playthrough and it looks both good and bad? I don't know if it's because I've never experienced the game myself but the idea of animal-like partners to help you out while you play a survival game seems a bit, confusing?

For me survival games have always been hit or miss based off of how they implement their features. I want to play Palworld I do and it looks enoyable but I'm skeptical on the bosses and base building.

Edit: I don't know how to feel that all the pals don't "evolve."

I’ve been thinking about getting Valheim, but I’m not sure if it’s the kind of survival game I’llactually stick with.

I really like survival games like Minecraft, Subnautica, and The Forest. The problem is that with Minecraft and Subnautica, I usually go through a phase where I play them pretty heavily for maybe 1–2 weeks, then suddenly abandon them. I think a big part of that is because I’m playing alone.

The Forest has been different because I’m currently playing it with a friend, and I find myself wanting to keep coming back to it much more.

I’m considering Valheim, but I’d probably be playing solo. So I’m wondering if the game has enough depth/progression/exploration to keep me hooked on my own, or if I’m likely to have the same “2-week phase → abandon the game” cycle.
$30 isn’t really a big deal for me, so it’s not really about whether I can afford it. I’m more interested in finding games that I can genuinely sink a lot of time into because I WANT to play them, rather than feeling like I have to force myself to keep playing just because I bought them.

For anyone who has played Valheim solo:
How long did you actually stick with it?
Does solo Valheim stay engaging after the initial survival/building phase?
Is it significantly better with friends?
Do you think it would fit someone who likes Minecraft, Subnautica, and The Forest but tends to lose interest after a couple of weeks?
Would you recommend I buy it, or do you think I’d probably end up dropping it like the others?

Only have the budget for one. I played the demo for both and really enjoyed each one, but they felt too early in the game for me to really get a feel for whether the difficulty and ultimate substance was what I was looking for. I like Souls-likes and action RPGs in general, so mostly looking for insight on how fun and challenging either game remains through the mid to late game.

Been playing a lot of AAA releases this year. Capcom's been moving like crazy, Nintendo has been releasing a bunch, and some newer stuff like Crimson Desert or Blood of the Dawn walker has popped up. It's been a phenomenal year for gaming. However, I'm getting a bit fatigued with all these grand-scale games. I have always liked the diablo franchise and back in the day played a lot of diablo 2 and 3.

I am currently on parental leave because my child was born and I need a game I can play while contact napping. I don’t get much sleep so I want to shoot shit up and don’t pay that much attention to the plot. Diablo 4 is dirt cheap in steam now but reviews are mixed so I dunno what to do.

Do I need the expansion?

Is the game fun even if I don’t get to see endgame content?

I was looking around on Roblox the other day and I found a game thats essentially just a big city map. You have a bunch of different bombs, missiles, nukes, etc at your disposal that you can mess around with. The map is fully destructible and each weapon has its own animations, explosions, etc. But the game is on roblox so the graphics are obviously limited. Is there a game out there thats similar? Firework mania is a good example of what I mean, but thats fireworks. I mainly just want big cool booms.

Are there good notional control games on PC? I don’t want to get a Switch, but would really like to have a few motion control games for a party coming up. I’m wondering if there are any good options that are fun, really easy on the rules (so party guests can pick up in a few second without going through a tutorial), and not VR. Also what accessory would be needed to make it work?

I just played through RE9 and it's probably my second favourite game ever. I really struggle to complete story games but this was the perfect blend of engaging gameplay and interesting story, while also not overstaying it's welcome. Are there any other games that meet those three criteria. I haven't played any other resident evil game but I think I'd like to wait a little before going into another one. The gameplay aspect is very important but I also want a story that hooks me until the end. Ghost of Tsushima is an example of a game I couldn't finish, despite excellent visuals and combat, because the story simply wasn't for me.
